Read my reply above about those stats in significant games and I'll rethink my argument. 45 chances created against WBA & 5 over two legs against Barca would emphasize my point even more (figuratively speaking). I presume you never heard Madrid fans slate Ronaldo for his poor end to 2017.

We have arguably had the same platform since Roman bought the club. Our squad has steadily declined for the most part, so it's of little surprise we aren't/haven't been a presence in Europe. I'm certainly not underestimating his impact during his time here, but we have to talk about the present. Just have to ask yourself, when does the blame lie with the player?

We're at a point where people are just defending him regardless of his lack of contribution in umpteenth games that have a notable significance to others. I'd loved to see those two stats in regards to our games against Barcelona, City, Utd, Arsenal & Tottenham. These are the games where he is supposed to be showing the drastic difference in class amongst our squad, let alone the best in European football. Getting tired of hearing the same things from certain individuals about him deserving better, too good for the club or being exempt from criticism.

Might be helpful if you drop the bias your name alludes too. He's been poor all year, so my point about his stats still stands. His only notable performance this year was against the team way adrift in 20th. Stop trying to defend the indefensible and I couldn't care less about Willian's output or lack of in HAZARD'S thread.

He wasn't a started when fit not so long ago. Say anything to displease Conte & you face being pushed out. Hope Luiz stays whilst the former is gone ASAP. He's making mistakes on a regular basis and it's totally unacceptable at this level. Can go unnoticed at a middle table German team but not Prem champions. I don't know if this has been the case from the start of the season which went noticed as results followed or something that has crept into his game in 2018. Ake was slated for the same thing and was deemed "not good enough". Both are in the same bracket for me; potential to be starters but aren't ready yet. Someone like Luiz should certainly be ahead of him as things stand (I know he's injured right now).

Same players seem to have downed tools again and the fighters have either left or are unavailable. So much needs to change in the summer

Conte doesn't want him in the XI, so his absence makes little difference. AC certainly isn't ready to be a starter

He's expenable at this point and no time like the present to get a good fee for him. Had ample time to sign on the dotted line but holding out for something.

You're forgetting to mention Palace, Watford as of late. I'm losing track of his supposed record at this point, as he's far from the keeper that came back from Spain. There's no point in discussing who's better or worse at aspects of the game at this point but the bottom line is, we need a new GK in the summer.
