This is humiliating. English sides being taught a lesson. No idea what the 5th CL status is like, but we could be making life much harder for ourselves.
-
PSG were gunning for revenge after the summer. We have gifted them the win. James of all people losing the ball to a teen.
-
This situation got drastically worse after Christophe Lollichon left.
-
Slonina would be worthy of a chance. How do our board SCOUT this guy and think he is worthwhile?
-
That didn't last long. United will get the three point V 10 men, I believe.
-
It's nice to see a convincing away performance against a top six side (Villa have fallen off quite a bit). I hope Sanchez will remain on the bench. Could we actually do this on a regular basis, though?
-
That CWC triumph did more harm than good. Sanchez can't be at the club come next season.
-
Is the linesman blind?
-
Hopefully we will hold on, and Rosenior has learned a value lesson about what not to do.
-
The number of changes is the issue. Gittens and Garnacho are impact players at best and Hato at LB just doesn't work IMO.
-
They should be more concerned about their current defensive issues. Stockpiling attacking talent for fun. So much for the outcome of those charges.
-
Ratcliffe was all over the idea of Southgate being the manager prior to his deal. I guess after what happened with Amorim, anyone with some sense and relatively experienced would wait till the summer.
-
Not the worse result all things considered, but we really ought to be winning with our squad. Maresca needs to sort out his starting XI's instead of trying to make amends at HT. I feel a solid CB that walks straight into our starting XI is a must in Jan with Colwill still out for the forseeable.
-
The moment I saw that CB pairing, I was worried. I feel people probably thought he could just rock up and cruise, especially after scoring early. Let's not forget, they beat Benfica in Lisbon.
-
I'm not a fan of Joao leading the line, tbh. He did decent against Spurs, but I feel playing behind a CF is his best position.
-
He's going for George at CF again, @Strike
-
Very surprised to see Guiu start a game of importance. A player being rewarded for his performance.
-
The result might have been comfortable in the end, but that's largely down to MGW being unable to finish on the day. Another red card on top of it all isn't ideal.
-
So much for that Guiu theory after all. At least Maresca is going for the win.
-
Disasi will be getting pulled back into the main squad at this rate. Josh can't catch a break either.
-
Estevao should be starting with Palmer out. Looks like we better get used to James at CM in big games as well. 🙄
-
As someone pointed out elsewhere, I wouldn't be surprised if Guiu is being saved for a loan move in Jan (can only play for two clubs) and Emegha joins us early. There's no other reason for Guiu's lack of playing time especially with our current CF situation.
-
We won. There isn't much more to say. Another meh red card to boot meaning a makeshift CF once again on matchday 3.
-
There's no point forcing him there. I'd much rather keep George there. Still, I feel Joao Pedro should have been given the nod. George delivered in arguably the game (at Craven Cottage) that helped shift the balance to earn CL football. Also, he delivered last week in that position (opposition isn't relevant).
-
Let's keep 11 men this time around. We sorely needed that goal, as we look a mess every time Benfica attack. Doesn't trust Guiu, so there aren't any other options.
