CB & GK signings were a must. Their decision to ignore both after the CWC and continue with this feeder club mentality will hold us back while they are owners.
-
If our undisputed starters are making such amateurish mistakes, we are in serious trouble. Unforced errors costing us for the third game in a row. I don't want to even think about the prospect of Maresca's future if he doesn't change things.
-
I hope there's serious rotation, and a change for youth players to impress, combined with newer signings who have hardly played.
-
United being as bad as they are is our only hope. A second & it's done.
-
That CWC final performance did far too much for Sanchez. Enzo taking off BOTH our wide men is just as bad. Just giving them extra encourage to attack.
-
A quick response is just what we needed after gifting them two goals. We need to wake up.
-
It's crazy to think it's been that long. I hoping for good memories tonight. We are world champions, so like it or not, we'll have a target of sorts on our back that will make teams want to up their game even more.
-
Results like that are hard to take. I thought it would be a repeat of our first visit to Brentford in the Prem (or at least in recent history) where Mendy was immense. Sanchez saved us multiple times tonight but poor marking for that final throw in was the difference. Moments like that could prove vital for a Top 4 push or an outside hopes of competing for the title.

Maybe so, but he still capitalised on it. Also, I'm sure there will be plenty of times this season when things will go against us. At the end of the day, we have 7 points. Hopefully, we can build on things. As I mentioned above, we capitalised on those decisions. Did you watch Liverpool V Newcastle (who had 10 men for more than half the game)? The lack of another first team AM could be a problem with Palmer out for however long. I'm not expecting much from Buonanotte.

Surely struggling after having no preseason and winning is a positive, right? We, Liverpool & Palace are the only teams unbeaten after three games. There are some positives to be taken.
-
A penny for Klopp's thoughts. All those years there on a shoestring budget to seeing them spending record amounts.
-
It feels like they're attack heaving and still have big holes defensively. If Salah can deliver even half the numbers of last season, I imagine they'll walk the league again.
-
The window started off promising. It's a shame real ambition lacked, but we have had our hands tied to an extent. Last few days have been a mess, though.
-
None of this makes sense with Jackson seemingly staying. We surely aren't shipping him off the latter for some unknown deal, are we?
-
He's another one who was seemingly a Chelsea fan growing up. If he delivers on the pitch and his brother stays off social media, it could turn out to be a decent bit of business.
-
We had a strong start last season but injuries and dip in form cost us. A bigger squad this time around could help us keep momentum especially during the festive period (AFCON takes place in Dec this year). I feel Delap's injury could force us into some unexpected deadline business.
-
We're very far off even being considered title challengers, but results like today show we can win without playing well in the slightest. Top of the table for the time being.
-
Estevao has been all over Bassey. A third goal will kill this game off.
-
How on earth did it take them that long to make such a straightforward decision? I was worried about Enzo taking it. Thought Joao Pedro would have been the nailed on choice on the field.
-
It's a shame that isn't the final play of the game. Nice to see us make the most of set pieces again.
-
Who is on the field to feed them? Enzo is not a playmaker. When will Maresca realise that?
-
Which he isn't. I'm sure if we had a top quality WF on the bench, Joao Pedro would have gone centrally. It's a sign over the entire squad.
-
It worked at Craven Cottage 🙄 The fact George (who we've shopped around) has been brought on ahead of Gittens. What message does that send after only three games?
-
He was supposedly a doubt to begin with. It's stupid to risk someone of his importance.

We've be fortunate two weeks in a row. Let's not forget West Ham were denied a second. No idea how we were caught so open at the 20 min mark, though.
