I always have to wonder why players are on the bench if their fitness is questionable. RLC shouldn't be starting if the others are fit.

Osimhen, Toney, or Vlahovic I'd personally stick with Broja (providing he comes back okay) & Fofana should Osimhen turn out to be unattainable. Times have certainly changed. If the whole team isn't giving at least 90% in most matches, it will cost you.

My point was about age not having much relevance with regards to either player & whether they should be selected or not whilst you started mentioning the impact of age in life and the collective; a whole different story. The club are at a crossroads in that position with Auba, Broja, Lukaku, and now Fofana on the books. If rumours going around are to be believe, we'll be making moves for a worthy CF in the summer. Whether Havertz can tear it up in a league were he plays in his ACTUAL position or have others doing the dirty work around him is neither here or there. If Bayern comes in the summer with a reasonable offer, get the deal done.

I have no idea why you keep mentioning someone's age; it's nothing more than a number. Most youngsters that become household names have to start somewhere, so there isn't a better place when the ONLY option ahead of him is not only dire, but he walks around without an ounce of energy. Bayern can't take him soon enough.

As crazy as it sounds, we're "only" 10 points off Newcastle with 17 games remaining. I don't expect us to magically turn things around, but we aren't miles off their talent & still have to play them at the Bridge.

I wholeheartedly disagree. We might be playing amazing free-flowing football, but we're creating chances that a competent CF would be tucking away. Just rewatch the last five or so games and tell me how many real chances has Havertz fluffed. Wrongly so. We aren't going to magically turn a corner if Potter doesn't switch things up.

They have a habit of being top at Christmas, only to go on and collapse (only side to do so in recent years, IIRC).

Who had our best chance tonight? I'm not saying overuse him; just give him a chance to impress and earn a spot. If we keep fielding Havertz, we'll do more damage to the club than anything else.

He isn't going to develop much if Potter has a similar train of thought.

I'm sure I remember a few thinking it was a decent move despite the fee, as they assumed he could bring back his Dortmund days under the same manager. I dare to think about how much he'll end up costing us if we decide to rip his contract up.

You put it perfectly - they can't be worse than the person who's led the line for the past six months. It's hard to see the positives when we constantly have to endure wasteful finishing.
