It's becoming apparent that he and his team lack any notable tactical understanding. The same was probably said before Di Matteo or Tuchel took over. We're still in with a great chance of potentially causing another upset with what is arguably a better squad than either of the previous teams in terms of quality. I'm just unsure about the candidates that have been mentioned.

This sort of issue has been present with every manager, so this is one occasion where I'd say it will remain regardless of whether Potter or Mourinho were here. There's something fundamentally wrong with the core that Boehly has to irradiate ASAP, whether it's through fines, selling them, etc.
-
We have the same discussion every time results start going sideways. At what point will we stop buying players with no mentality and start buying those that have some fight about them?
-
I think Potter is at the point of no return; he's been manager for a number of months, overseen a full transfer window, and has essentially a full squad to pick from, but our performances get worse each game. There has to be a time when those making such decisions realise the same thing.

1 goal from 77 shots.... I want Potter gone as much as most at this point, but c'mon. Woeful!
-
Threatening? Is that really the measuring stick now? 🙄
-
I've lost count the amount of time Felix has received the ball in Tottenham's half and has decided to pass backwards. Have the players been instructed to play for a draw or what?
-
I didn't even realise RLC (missed the line ups) was playing until he popped up in the 30m~. He's just a body in midfield that offers naught!
-
Idiotic officiating. Get Ziyech off at HT.
-
Two GK howlers. Alisson has far too many of these moments. I was thinking the same thing. It's like it's just been thrown on.
-
I wasn't sure where to put this, so I just threw it here. This clip sums up one of the main issues I've been vocal about for seasons: a lack of leaders/characters. It's sad to watch, thinking about those who were in blue a decade or so ago.

There were rumours that we had no interest in him until we lost to Fulham. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was some truth to it.
-
Gifting a new manager the perfect start. Like clockwork... I don't know how Potter can remain after today. I really hoped for his appointment to be the change we desperately needed as well.
-
Neither player has it in their game. Zakaria needs to fill that void until Kante is actually fully fit.
-
2-0 Southampton win seems to be written all over this. We have no defensive presence in midfield.
-
Unreal!
-
This sort of feeling is something that disgusts me. If Potter is to go, this is something that has to be stamped out immediately; you're playing for the club, first & foremost.
-
I knew the moment Azpi committed the fault we'd concede. He has been off it. We're in serious trouble.
-
Have you been watching Havertz?
-
Fofana starting! Chance to see an actual CF lead the line.
-
Curses are there to be broken. Also, I'm sure we could get him for significantly less.
-
If we only make one signing this summer, it has to be him -
-
I'm surprised more hasn't been made of the corner prior to Dortmund scoring. Havertz's attempted header almost worked out as a pass at the far post. Not only is he a major part of our inability to score, he's costing us goals as well.
-
We haven't put our chances away all season, so you're asking for a miracle at this point.
-
We'll keep on losing as long as there's a ghost leading the line. If I see Havertz start against Southampton, I'll be all aboard the "Potter out" train. Our frailties are due to his naivety and stubbornness. It's cost managers 10x him their job, so this shouldn't be any different.
