Just my take on this practical draw this year, previous years it has always been fine and nothing unusual. Just that this year the fav in every tie play away from home 1st and all the big ones(PSG, Barca, Chelsea, Bayern...etc) all drawn against worse sides or sides that they are expected to win. Maybe UEFA doesn't want a repeat of MU vs Madrid too early like last year again.

A bit off topic but anyone think this last 16 draw is rigged? All the best teams play against worse teams where they are expected to progress, even then in the case of Arsenal/City they were handed Bayern/Barca, 2 of the best team in the world. Also all the fav team play away from home 1st and it is really no surprise that all of them are winning so far(Dortmund 2-0 up already) Maybe it is just me but I see a pattern here and it doesn't just look pure coincidence.

Any top class striker signed means Lukaku will be sold, simple as that. You think he would be willing back up? If he can't even get ahead of 3 crappy ones how would he be able to get a head of 32m guy who is expected(will) play every single match?

Strikers who came back even better after injury: RVP, Costa(believe it or not he was out for like 9 months before his great season at Atletico last year), Higuain(he was out for sometime at 1 point a few years ago) Strikers who got worse with injuries(well some still play well but never the same): Rooney after that injury in 09-10 season, Torres, Millito So there are case for strikers to still be able to do well after injury, just have to look at RVP who had 2 amazing seasons last 2 years after so many injuries. Or we can look at Torres who is destroying the souls of every Chelsea fans. I don't think we should take that risk on Falcao

Remember Fulham under Magath, who is A VERY VERY VERY DISCIPLINE coach. I think if he has read Chelsea forums he probably would have retired as a player by now due to depression. He isn't exactly someone who is arrogant, more like a shy guy that needs a lot of love and support to flourish. You know you have been pretty terrible when you are supposed to be your club's best striker on paper and the fans want you to be sold. That the argument you bring up that we will beat them because we are better even though I think if compared 11 we are pretty even. And even if we are better there is no guarantee that we will win

Courtois is better than Cech for me atm, but I don't agree with his opinion that we got better players in almost every position. Godin/Miranda are far better than Cahill, Koke is better than Willian imo, Mario Suarez/Babi are better than Ramires. So yes we are slightly better but by just a small margin.

We have better players than Newcastle, Stoke, Everton. Didn't stop them from beating us this season, oh and Basel too. Also in the super cup back 2 years ago we got players better in almost every single position bar striker, they ended up winning 4-1.
