  1. Can't believe this game is still 0-0
  2. Hope to see Pulisic coming in soon
  3. Thank god it was offside but I really hate VAR being this precise. Freeze the picture 0.01 seconds earlier and its not offside
  4. Kovacic is such a calm and press resistant player tho. Absolutely priceless in game like this
  5. Our decision making in the final third has been fucking horrific
  6. Promes what a surprise. Scores every fucking game somehow
  7. This is a proper game of football indeed!
  8. I have trouble believing that graph, stating we're playing with 3-4-3 Kits do look amazing!
  9. Just showed stats on Dutch TV. Ajax have conceded 28 (!) chances in two UCL games this season. They have conceded 0 goals though, which is quite a miracle but their defence is still veery vulnerable. Onana is a fantastic GK btw, only a matter of time before he ends up playing in big leagues
  10. Good team imo, was kinda expecting Giroud and/or Pulisic get a start here though but I guess Pulisic will be coming in as a sub at some point. I think 5 at the back with our current set of CBs would have been a bad move. We would have conceded control of the midfield entirely to Ajax by giving them a man advantage and having 3 centrebacks, all of which are quite mediocre on the ball, would have made us struggle to keep possession or create anything. If we still had David Luiz then maybe it could have worked. 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 is the way to go right now
  11. I expect Ajax pressing to target Zouma and his first touch as well as Tomori who has been done quite a few mistakes in last few games. Real shame we don't have anyone else available for that position right now. Kepa might have to go long a lot of the time so maybe having Giroud up front would be wise, he'd win most if not all of his aerial duels against Blind and Alvarez/Veltman. I guess Abraham could win those as well. Alonso might also be starting since he's such a good option for Kepa to play a long ball to. Most important thing is to survive their first few waves of pressing. They can be quite vulnerable after we manage to make our way into their half. ----- Interesting also to see what kind of lineup Ten Hag comes up with. In a few games this season he has chosen to go with Alvarez and Martinez (so essentially two CBs)* as midfield pivot with Blind and Veltman as CBs. If I had to guess I'd say they will go with that so essentially the same lineup as against Valencia. That linkup between Tadic, Ziyech and Van de Beek up front really frightens me and Promes has been scoring regularly this season so our defensive line and midfield have to be at their sharpest to avoid conceding tons of chances. Their biggest achilles heel will be their right fullback. Dest and Mazraoui, whoever is picked to play there tomorrow night, are good going forward but quite poor defensively. Willian/Pulisic/Hudson-Odoi could have a field day against one of them. Either way, I wouldn't consider us as underdogs per se but since they are playing at home in front of their crazy fans, they are more likely to win this one than we are. A draw wouldn't surprise me and it would be quite a decent result from this game. *Lisandro Martinez btw has been absolutely amazing player so far this season, what a steal they got for only 7 million euros this summer. Marc Overmars doing his magic in the transfer market once again.
  12. If we are settled on spending megabucks next summer then there's only player we should be targeting and that is Mbappe. I'm quite happy with CHO and Pulisic as our pair of wingers in the long-term, and even though we might need bring in another winger for rotation, buying a +100m player like Sancho for that position would seem like an overkill.
  13. I'd rather sell Batshuayi in January than let Giroud go
  14. They are an outstanding team though even without Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt. They'd probably be 2nd or 3rd in the standings right now if they played in Premier League
  15. I could very well see City losing this one As a reminder, as things stand we're 1 point AHEAD of them in the standings
  16. Important win! CHO and Jorginho were fantastic
  17. Good reaction from Lamps bringing in Pulisic now
  18. Two fullbacks who can't dribble or run, two centrebacks who aren't particularly good passers. With a back four like that this is what you get
  19. How good has CHO been today though. Wow
  20. Mount needs to find bottom corner from that position
  21. Yet again Saturday 3pm game and you can guess twice whether the broadcaster has chosen Chelsea game to be shown out of all the games from that timeslot....This keeps happening almost every weekend now. In previous seasons I've been able to watch vast majority of the Chelsea games from TV but now I have to keep watching streams over and over again. Annoying as hell. Anyways, pretty confident about this game despite our injury problems. Abraham, Barkley, Mount, Jorginho, Alonso, Tomori, Willian are all in good form right now, Hudson-Odoi is getting there. Hoping to see James as well
  22. Eric Cantona was right about Deschamps
