Moutinho is a playmaker, and we have been crying out for one of those for as long as I can remember. Unless we are going for Modric, which in my view is not the better idea by any stretch of the imagination, we should be busting a gut to get someone like Moutinho in.

Exactly! Porto know how to replace players. Their club is like a snake shedding its skin. When the old skin is gone, they instantly produce a new one. In other words, when big name players get removed from their squad, they are immediately replaces with younger players, and they are moulded into their team to be made into bigger names. I know that Alex (BlueLion) follows Lyon partially, and a couple years ago, he touched on the fact that Lyon have a very similar policy to this. Their youth setup is immaculate. With developing the likes of Benzema, Gassama, Sissokho, etc.

I have to agree with this. I mean, how many games did he play last season? He was injured for most of the campaign, which just tells you that he's injury prone. What I will say however, is that when called upon, he puts in great performances. He's the closest we have to a playmaker at the moment, and is able to unlock Torres' true potential at times. Don't believe me? Then I advise you to watch the Chelsea v West Ham highlights last season where Torres scored!

The only way we will find that out is how he fairs during pre-season. Boas has already said that the players will be respected of their quality and he will give them a chance in some games before he makes a choice on what to do with them.

The way Falcao played for Porto during an unbeaten season, I would say he was more than just a backup!

You're confusing the hell out of me now what I said was, I suggested that Falcao be drafted in to replace the likes of Anelka and Kalou at the club because I felt they had a poor season. Of course the rest of the squad had a bad season, I agree with you on that, that's not what I originally meant earlier though! That was the last thing on my mind
