  1. Brilliant goal from Raul Meireles! Shame Torres hit the post with his effort earlier though...
  2. Maybe it's because AVB likes to rotate them
  3. I honestly think it's too early to determine Eriksen's future.. he is still learning at Ajax, and he has a lot of options ahead of him if he ever does move! Whoever wants him more will be the club he goes to.. in all fairness, I don't think we need him.. unless we fail at signing Modric in January, I guess he could be a secondary option.
  4. Great news... looks like he will be ending his career with us then!
  5. A failed Modric bid yes, but I'm happier with the fact that, we signed a player for half of the transfer fee we would have signed for Modric, and with him doing well, rather than losing Mata to another Premier League side, and gambling on Modric for £40m... And tbf, Meireles may not be Modric, but he has done well when called upon...
  6. Mata has to be my favourite Chelsea player at the moment... he is the playmaker we have lacked for so many years. He's working really well with Sturridge up front, which is what I prefer more than Kalou or Malouda up front! Excellent feet, great speed, and exquisit decision making! He's the Arena player on my FIFA 12 at the moment, and Cech is the goalkeeper
  7. Mata is the type of player we have lacked for years and years! Who needs Modric?
  8. Well, for the 10 millionth time we lose a clean sheet... but I'm very happy with the 3-1 win! Shame Ramires had to come off with an injury though, hope he's not out for too long!
  9. how about.. There's only one England captain!
  10. Yeah that's right! Doesn't matter how you win 'em, you have to get the three points! That's why we were dubbed boring under Jose Mourinho many years ago...
  11. We better fucking go on to win this game now! Everton in recent years have always pulled something out of the hat against us, especially at home, and Saha never fails to score against us!
  12. Performance has been below par, Drogba has hardly been in proceedings, but I'm VERY happy with a 2-0 half time lead! Job half-way done!
  13. I seem to remember the last two league games at home against Everton, Tim Cahill was a right handful, and caused us major problems! Seamus Coleman and Jack Rodwell have played pretty well against us as well... if we are looking to get a clean sheet today, I don't think it will come! Hell I don't even care if Everton do score, as long as we win and get 3 points.
  14. Who is saying Sturridge will replace Rooney's role in the team?? At the end of the day, Danny has a whole Premier League and Champions League season to show England what he can do. Hopefully AVB will recognise his ambitions, and he will get to play in a majority of Chelsea games... thus giving him more of a chance to break into the England squad.
  15. Some of those games feel like defeats however because I can remember a few of those draws against Everton were games we needed to win to stay in the title race...
  16. So no Rooney for any of England's group games at Euro 2012! Time for Sturridge to prove himself and show he has what it takes.. ... and by the way, I'm so pleased Sweden are through to the finals!
  17. It all depends on who they play for, and how many games they get the chance to play... Lukaku has joined us, but he has a mass of strikers in front of him in the pecking order, but he's still 18, and even if he was to make it into the starting eleven, a world class performance right off the bat isn't guaranteed, so you need patience if you're going to get to that stage. You'll have more of a chance though if you're one of those players who is able to mould themselves easily into a formation of a team.
  18. I agree with you there, at least he doesn't pick up any kind of injury at the end of the day!
  19. Our home record against Everton in the last few seasons has been laughable!
  20. Yeah, I think despite the fact that we lost 3-1 in that match, the main positive was taking our chances... Torres would have learned the biggest lesson of them all, to not miss an open goal from 5 yards! We really need to sort out our set piece defending though because that's why we are leaking goals! Our defence haven't perfected it yet, and we need to be able to do that if we are going to chase both the Manchester clubs all the way this season!
  21. Of course, this is a team that lost 1-0 at home to QPR
  22. It's gotta be SeB hasn't it?? He's posted really well
  23. I really hope that before this game we would have survived the International Break in terms of injury, because if we're not so successfull, I could see Everton beating us! If not, then I'd like to see us win at least 2-1...
  24. Okay, I hate to stun the party here, but I'm not getting complacent, despite it being 4-0 to us at the moment! remember in 2009 when we were 4-0 up at home to Bolton and Hiddink was in charge??
