  1. Or at CB, or on the bench or even on the beach. A quality RB is a massive addition for our squad. Is Malo that bloke? Can't say I know but I like the attributes on display in his YouTube highlights.
  2. FFP is accounted over a rolling three year period.
  3. There is at least one person among forum regulars who actively prefers to see a new stadium away from Stamford Bridge. Me. You have listed most of the reasons I would give so I would add just one point; renovating Stamford Bridge would cost more than building a new stadium. In part this is because of the challenges of the SB site you've referred to, in part the costs related to the disruptions of playing and locating company offices elsewhere, and most of all because the costs of building elsewhere would be offset, if not outright covered, by the eventual sale or redevelopment of the Stamford Bridge site. (I expect Clearlake would want to develop the site themselves.)
  4. In which case Hakim probably wouldn't go. I doubt he wants to play in the championship, and so is not likely to take that risk.
  5. Seems that our recruiters see this the same way you do. Hopefully the fact that there are so many of them reduces the chances of a 'dud' slipping under the radar. After all, there has to be less chance that two people will make the same mistake and even less chance that three, or four, or five will... As I say, I'm utterly unconvinced by what I've seen of Andrey but he's here so I have no choice but to put my faith in those who see it differently to the way I do. 🙂
  6. Burnley are eighteen points clear of the promotion line and Kompany loves Ian. Assuming there is no extraordinary collapse from The Clarets they'll be back in the Premier league next season so, depending on GP's view, there should some good options available to us re Ian; add him to the squad, a further loan with Burnley, or a good fee plus buyback for a permanent move.
  7. You mean Mon. 'I'd rather sell a player for half the price to anyone else, than sell him to Chelsea' Aulas himself?
  8. Agreed. Being able to pick and choose Reece's games would be an ideal solution.
  9. Nothing like being the two-millionth person to tell a joke Gaza.
  10. What do people think is the right approach to use when looking for a new RB? Find a player with a realistic view of his level, someone who accepts that he is a back up, or do a Man City by recruiting a starting quality RB and employ a heavy rotation policy so new bloke and Reece share game time?
  11. I initially liked his power. (Remember when there were those rumours that he must be older than was being claimed because a teenager just could not be so powerful?) I soon realised however, and said, that his game wasn't up to much. Was surprised when Milan took him, even more surprised when he moved to Barca, and outright shocked by the initially good reviews he got there. Truth always outs in the end however.
  12. You, and Barca's decision makers, were wrong about that. Steer well clear Blues.
  13. Top six would be great but I'd rather finish 8th or lower than end up 7th.
  14. Got to admit that I am quietly confident about the BVB tie.
  15. Desperately hoping we get end product from Felix. My question about him is that he always looks great but his productivity doesn't live up to it often enough.
  16. It's hard to understand why GP chose Auba ahead of DDF for the last ten.
  17. No part of the field where it is not needed. Technical excellence a prerequisite for every player please.
  18. First of all ignore the goal. Giving Andrey any credit for it would be misleading. Even more misleading than the rest of those numbers. As for the 88% pass accuracy, a fair few completions came with him stationed in two acres of space, behind his back four and taking all the time he wants to roll the ball forwards to one of his defenders! Ignore all of that nonsense too. The Peru display was a masterclass in ordinariness. I grant you that it was possible to produce a good looking highlights compilation of Andrey across I don't know how many games, but every all touches video I have seen of him so far has been deeply underwhelming. The Peru outing most of all.
  19. When he was linked I watched some highlights and liked them enough to move to the next stage and find a couple of all touches videos. Those put doubt in my mind and I posted that I was in no hurry to see him brought in. The Peru game illustrated nothing positive. No great touch, no exceptional body control, no outstanding passing, not even any noticeable physicality. All in all, the video above offers no evidence whatsoever to support the decision to buy Andrey.
  20. 😂 But as @Special Juan explained, we know the answer to that so it's not really a question.
