  1. More questions than answers. Actually one question and no answers in this vid.
  2. It was very encouraging to read your opinion that Noni is PSV's best since Robben. If anything, he looks more explosive in his final movement to create space and get his shot away. Noni also clearly has super timing and so strikes a ball very, very, cleanly. For me Arjen was smoother and more heads up when carrying the ball. This made him a triple threat in attacking areas; create space for a strike at goal, dip a shoulder and head towards the goal line to deliver a cross, or pick a pass to a running teammate. Manduke may share this versatility, but I haven't seen it demonstrated as yet. I understand however that you are not claiming the youngster to be on quite the same level as the legend. πŸ™‚ This is exactly the issue. Ajax may be particularly aware of Noni's propensities, but I'm sure you'll agree that all opponents will have some knowledge of them. What he wants to do will show up glaringly when sides watch film in preparation to face him. They'll be ready for him so, as you say, it will come down to whether or not they can stop him. If he remains predictable stopping him can only be easier than it would be if he was less predictable, if he had more strings to his bow. πŸ™‚
  3. Wow, people are mega keen on Enzo. I can't remember the last time I saw such widespread and strong support for a transfer target on here.
  4. Thank you. He demonstrates a good hit, but his m.o. looks very predictable in these videos.
  5. Grace Geyero from PSG? πŸ™‚ Any better guesses? P.S. I don't particularly want Geyoro. Don't think she improves us much, if at all.
  6. Thanks. Sounds like the game and performance wasn't as bad as it might have been but the truth is that I was always missing this one to go to The Emirates instead. Bad performance by the women even though they got a point.
  7. What he did mange to do, whether fake or real, was leadership, focus and passion. He allied these traits with at the very least competence. In a season during which Challo has sometimes been exposed, and we have even had to play Cucu at CB, I would definitely take Rudi on loan to bolster our squad.
  8. Well, if he's available on loan. πŸ™‚
  9. You must be young. πŸ™‚ Washington was once the best supported NFL team in the UK. Overwhelmingly so in fact. To such an extent that the editor of the UK's first NFL magazine once explained to me that he had to publish a minimum amount of Washington coverage in each issue in order to keep his sales up. These were the days of The Hogs, The Fun Bunch, The Diesel and the height of the Washington, Dallas rivalry.
  10. I'm sure that you are not wrong. I'm just saying it does not appear to be the case that uefa will prevent a uefa registered club doing business with Russia, if the club's national government permits it.
  11. On the other hand Diego got an assist for this header.
  12. Could be because Israel has not imposed sanctions on Russia. In other words, uefa is not issuing sanctions independently of EU/nation states.
  13. Just another brexit benefit I suppose. Brexitaria, where Europeans come to die laughing. (The civil servant in charge of work permits is an Arsenal fan?)
  14. Exactly. πŸ™‚ Everyone will line up to offer Β£20m and we pay him off to the tune of half of his wages.
  15. I heard on commentary yesterday that Palace fans were booing Connor. Is that true, and does anyone know why? Did he celebrate the goal perhaps?
  16. I'd lay good money that the starting price for any player we enquire about will be Β£100m.
  17. Agreed but they are in in a very enviable situation. Firstly, they operate in a one team league where the clubs which are supposedly their competitors, in reality serve as an extended academy for them. Secondly, being the main attraction in the dominant pastime in one of the world's most powerful economies, means they attract staggering amounts of sponsorship income. Thirdly, they operate in a city which affords a fabulous lifestyle. Taken together, these factors make FC Bayern Munchen one of the most desirable destinations for the world's best footballers. When buying our club Todd Boehly spoke of the structural advantages which Chelsea enjoy. Our advantages are almost negligible compared with Bayern's and those advantages allow them to recruit the players to fit their style. Other clubs often have to choose the style to fit the players they can recruit.
  18. He should be thankful for small mercies. At least he won't have to pay to get in. πŸ™‚
  19. A fair point, but the world is real not ideal. Clubs, including ours, have to take opportunities when they arise. It seems pretty clear from the rumour mill that the club has made, and is making, efforts to reinforce the midfield. There is nothing wrong with buying the materials with which you intend eventually to build the roof and putting it in storage, so to speak, until your foundation is laid. As long as you can afford to do both then you must take opportunities when you can. The club's recruiters clearly believe strongly in Mudryk. As long as as this signing does not prevent us also strengthening the midfield then it makes no sense to stand by and watch him go elsewhere.
  20. Mudryk counts as 21 or under. He was born on 05/01/2001. The qualification date for this transfer window is on or after 01/01/2001, so he makes it by 4 days. In any case, both of the players I would now most like to see arrive during this window are under-21.
