  1. Well he didn't come out and comment on baba's poor defensive abilities, now did he. If that was the reason he dropped Hazard you could maybe understand it and he should have said so instead of singling out an attacking player as the reason for our defensive frailties. Even so if that was the case he could have just played Hazard on the right in front of Azpi as always. Either way like i said before. Dropping an attacking player for not being defensive enough while at the same time not giving the same treatment to players who are actually intended to do a lot of defensive work is absurd. And when someone gives absurd comments like that it's perfectly normal to be upset about it
  2. ...and the answer that he gave was just another sign of how he is not handling our problems in the right way so it is justified to have a negative reaction towards it.
  3. Again, nobody is fussing about Hazard being benched but about the comments Mou made after the game and the supposed reason why he was benched. Hazard has basically been singled out for being the reason of us conceding goals which is complete garbage
  4. That feeling when you havent checked a topic for a while and its littered with pacquiao discussions
  5. Well maybe, just maybe Eden would score that amount of goals as well if Mou actually decided he wants his attacking players to be more concerned about attacking instead of defending
  6. Maybe you should actually read the comments those people made before you react to it. Nobody is upset that Hazard got benched. The problem is Mou's comments on why he benched him, namely that he didn't help the defense out enough which is utterly absurd
  7. So we finally got to see what Mou's answer was to this crisis: Remove the last bit of creativity from our team and go even more defensive. This guy is just a portuguese Tony Pulis but with a bigger ego and a bigger budget. We were in the process of building a team who could win things by playing more attacking and entertaining football and he singlehandedly killed it just to win a league title in the short term
  8. Altough i would like to see us play with more flair, those kind of statements rile me up. In the end, players are employees who earn hundreds of thousands of pounds each week so they shouldn't be bored and moaning about the what and the how and be professional and just do what they have been told to do
  9. never been a big lukaku fan since his game was all about his power and he had very poor technique but i have to say he is imporving his game pretty well this season. First touch is becoming secure and he is finally learning how to use that big body of him to hold up play
  10. I remember when he joined us there was talk about him having problems with stamina if he plays constantly. Since then he basically played non stop doing the job of two people in that midfield so it's no surprise he is totally and utterly spent. He needs a long and proper rest and more rotation in the future.
  11. To me he is the biggest problem right now. Our midfield is just terrible at the moment. No fight, no passion, nowhere to be seen. And you have to ask yourself what does Cesc actually contribute these days to a victory. Despite how awful Iva is, he still can score a header, but Cesc litteraly offers nothing. Not willing to drop him is Mou's biggest mistake imo. He said during his post match interview that Cesc is used to deal with tough situations from his time at Barcelona but i am not seeing it. Just seems like ever other spineless Arsenal player out there
  12. Mourinho has been given the entirety of the first season to sort things out. Before Mourinho arrived our plan of approach was clear. Buy talented youngsters, let them evolve and integrate the best ones in our team to create a long sustained succes at our club but that has gone all to waste. What Mou did was bring some short term fixes in the team with experience to win him the title. This man has no long term vision what so ever and we are now beginning to see the effects. We sold alot of our talent and we currently have no solutions in our squad. The biggest hopes are RLC and Kennedy at the moment but he is refusing to put his faith in them like usual. I would like to give him more time but judging by his actions so far to try and turn things around he just seems clueless (having yet to drop our two worst performers in Cesc and Iva as a prime example). He reminds me a lot of Moyes at Manchester these days who looked so far out of his depth it was clear very early on he had to go. Whenever Mou is asked what is going wrong, he can't point his finger at something. And he starts giving the same crap about bad individual performances. He has nothing else to fall back upon. Our players have nothing else to fall back upon but individual hard work. We played a total of 3 months of good football under him and hoping he will change his ways is being deluded. I'm afraid his time is over.
  13. I just hopes he takes his 'best RB' with him wherever he goes
  14. it's pretty clear to me now that our current situation ain't gonna be turned around by Jose, so better sack him sooner than later
  15. I agree but it's no surprise to me, there is an ocean of space between our defense and the rest of the team
  16. Have we tried a Matic-RLC pivot this season so far? I think that is our best option to regain some composure in the midfield
  17. this is so true, and here i thought our build up play last season was bad but this is just atrocious.
  18. absolute zero protection in front of our defense and knowing how they like to back off all the time it's just a recipe for disaster
  19. More defensively solid than baba? lol, best laugh of the week
  20. can someone be as kind to give a summary of that first half please, much thx
  21. Just turned in, looking at all the scores today. WTF is happening at stoke??? Liverpool already 5 down!!!!!!
  22. I'm actually still scratching my head as to why Arsene was nominated, can someone explain this? What has he done to even be considered manager of the year? finally beat a top 4 team? Arsenal will end up on less points than last year and the only reason they ended third is because United and Liverpool sucked even more than them.
  23. Diego and his antics are one and the same. You can't have the good without the bad with him. He wouldn't be producing what he does now, that's how he plays his football, as testified by Mourinho in one of his interviews. You may not like it, but it's not gonna change and when you say that someday it will cost us, you may be right. But then you also have to look at all the things that it has brought us. Like the title this season in which he had a very important role and many more victories in the future i predict.
