Our limitations from LWB and CM showing more. Pedro could've done better, but that's OK. Upcoming fixtures might put us in our place. Still feel we're over-achieving a bit at the moment. The squad is thin on quality. What can be had in January?
-
doesn't look like a match we will win. BATSHUAYI anyone?
-
nice that we're winning again, but as a season goes, I feel we need more from that LWB position and a little more from CM (the non-Kante position). positions where we need more: LWB, CM, RW and that CB we haven't yet gotten.
-
I wonder if this player will be the replacement for Willian. Personally, I think he's nearly ready to play with Chelsea now. dunno who's faster: Musonda Jr. or Pedro.
-
Seems to me Chelsea don't need to buy a striker for next season if we have Diego, Bats, and Abraham as forward options. I feel Antonio will give us a chance to play more with a 2nd striker when he has more options for MF and DEF in the future. Hope we keep Tammy.
-
He's not getting back into the squad because his vision and reactions aren't good enough to suit Conte's expectations. Gone. Thank Christ, finally.

I'm just gonna say that the WORD IS OUT ABOUT CHELSEA AROUND THE GLOBE. You mention Conte and Chelsea right now and you get stuff like: "It's like magic." and, "He and Klopp have their sides running in 5th gear." FFS, it is such a JOY for me to hear the same words in my own head resonate so loudly after a decade of underachievement at CFC. We WILL gain a larger global following with this kind of confidence and speed of play --hopefully everyone stays healthy. Need more players in the next windows.

Must be voting for Trump. Alternate reality nihilist

She really fancies herself as the backup striker these days.

Honestly, it's the most positive I've felt about this club and its future since a decade ago. Everyone has a good reason to PARTY!
-
This is potentially the best I've seen since 2004-2005 (we'll see how the season goes).

Wow. That was amazing! I DON'T CARE WHAT THE NICKNAME HAS BEEN FOR ANTONIO CONTE; I THINK IT SHOULD BE "IL CHEF MAESTRO" or, "The Master Chef." This manager is cooking something into our side that no other manager has been able to do for a while! Great work team, marvelous dedication, drive, and acumen from our new manager. Diego was MotM for me. He is transformed to a higher state. This is the first time in years that I am so jubilant about how Chelsea are playing --not just because of the present state, but also our potential under Conte for the future (years to come, I hope).
-
Fist pumping here!!! Wow! This is CFC?
-
personally, I think this would be a good match for Diego-Bats up top to break Everton as they sit back.
-
Noticeable about Everton's lineup and bench compared to our own: they have more goalscorers. Stay healthy, Chelsea.
-
sounds like my kind of player and something more for our centre midfield.
-
Who's watched him?
-
Christensen can play as a CB or CM and Terry is done after this season. I see both Christensen and vanDijk as good choices for our future. Hard to tell with Zouma. Athletic, but we'll see about poise on the ball and passing decisions as he gets his chance to grow under a better manager (Conte).
-
Wow. You even found a place in the side for Oscar! I'm impressed. Personally, I would rather have gotten a couple of swift CMs for our side last summer, so even though we're doing well at the moment (some might think we're above our level, but I think the next three months will show us how many GOALS this side have in them). I truly want to see Chalobah get time on the pitch and I do not have ill wishes for Matic, but I doubt that Matic gives us an edge this year or next; he's not our future.
-
Alonso's not terrible and we don't need to discuss his inflated transfer fee (that's just the market and maybe our shitty board), but we could still use wingbacks/fullbacks who have pace on both sides. Alonso has been OK but lacking in pace. He does look more like a CB with good crossing ability. Moses has been a greater gift for our side at the moment and it makes me wonder what Conte was thinking with Cuadrado in the summer. Watching him, watching Moses, watching Aina, Traore? We have some backup players for centre midfield and I think with Zouma returning and Alonso a capable CB, our weakness right now is depth at left back or LWB ---AND--- our right attacking player. Without Costa or Hazard in the lineup, we might be looking for 0-0 draws, 1-1 draws and 1-0 wins.
-
Agree, agree, agree. Dump the players of lower quality and get in some better defenders and CMs quickly. Trade a Willian for a better attacking player when he is found.
-
I just wanna say that Gundogan and deBruyne gave ManCity a victory over Barca today with their goals. Two players we probably should've had on our side IMO, although Gundo was debatable due to back injuries.
-
wow. I think you just made a great call on those 3 for our future CBs with Luiz presumably staying on. Add on Tomori... we hope.
-
Not bad, but I think we can break them.
