Ivanovic is 31 soon?!

Seems to be 'ill' often when we play big away games.

'We could've been 5 points clear'. Doubt it. City got complacent in the 2nd half after finding out that we drew.

Sean Dyche you absolute legend!!!!! Told his team to keep pressing high because City would love nothing more than a parked bus. Amazing.

I don't think the hype around us diving was the reason we didn't get a pen. It was just typical referee incompetence. Aguero got booked for diving against Southampton too when it was a stonewall penalty. That said Ivanovic's performance was awful and Luis's link-up play was better but ultimately both were very disappointing.

The second half was brilliant and we really should have scored but when nobody is capable of scoring from outside the box or the edge of the box, it becomes a lot more difficult. It was a much better display than against Newcastle/Sunderland but the result is really hard to take.

'You're only as good as your last game.'

Doesn't help the club's image either, especially given how topical it is. I've mostly heard it described as 'Chelsea diving again' rather than 'Ivanovic diving'.

Southampton rested quite a few players against Palace including the likes of Tadic, Long, Wanyama, Targett and Fonte - all of whom will probably play against us, in some part at least. In contrast Jose will almost certainly play the same team so tiredness could well be a problem.

The main differences between the two games were: Aguero played amazingly and Costa had a bad game, Coates played instead of Wes Brown against City and made some pretty big mistakes unlike Brown in our game, and City made much better use of their FBs than we did. You can't just put it down to effort and say Sunderland tried harder against us because there were much bigger factors at play.

In this fixture last year we barely created any clear cut chances - I only remember the Lampard one right at the the end (which he'd have scored from 9/10 times, sigh). Most of the attempts were just annoying pot shots whereas today we created enough good chances to have scored at least 3-4. A huge improvement indeed. If only we'd play with this kind of attacking fluidity away from home too!

Although we'll never know I'm confident they'd have won that game anyway. Everton never looked like scoring and City would have got one from somewhere eventually.

It can't just be luck that in recent weeks every time they've played poorly they've still got a good result. If only we could have done that at Sunderland or Newcastle

Southampton, City and United all conceded a consolation goal while 3-0 up at about the same time (86/87th minute)! At least City didn't get a clean sheet and we've now conceded the fewest goals in the league.

City are refusing to give up their title without a fight this time. We're going to need 90+ points to win it I reckon.

By that logic Atletico didn't deserve to beat us or win anything!

Also given the number of recent player swaps between Atletico and ourselves, I think it is destined that we will face each other again in the CL.

If Torres played against us I'd expect the ex-player curse to strike and for him to score. I wonder how he'd celebrate.

The GKs train separately from the main group as do the players who didn't play.
