Normally I would agree. but this is the second time in 3 years we're not in CL. Besides, Liverpool have just reached a final. Roma is coming from a semi. The last time we made an honorable run was back in 2014. I think it matters for some players. It definitely did when we won the competition and Hazard signed. Sure, we will probably get most of our targets despite no CL. but I just think this will be the only exception.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. Even if the club matches their offer, lack of champions league football will probably be the deciding factor. Obviously wages as well, but if Liverpool is willing to pay so much money to bring him in surely they can afford to pay him whatever we offer.

I wouldn't mind Keylor Navas at this point. Really underrated keeper. Plays for 1-2 years until we can sort ourselves.

60 million if the figure mentioned around is right would be a really bad value IMO. I'd rather we get Martial even if it means sending Willian the other way. I don't mind if we overpay for talent and youth, but paying high fees for the likes of Higuain and Giroud is a bad investment.

Fulham or West Ham would be such a disapointing move for a player of his caliber.

First match where I felt he had no ambition to win a game. Team was conceding too many chances and creating nothing. Took 1 goal and he still refused to make changes. Ironically, in his last PC he was talking about how he had too much personal ambition while the club did not fully support him.

We are in a position of strength here. Might as well try and drive the price down. People here will be moaning in a few months that we paid 20m for Giroud but in the current moment they want transfers done at all costs.

I'm sure he hasn't seen enough to judge him properly because if he had, he wouldn't think he's anywhere near great. Most PSG fans I know don't rate him. but somehow fans of other teams think he's a very good player. Probably because of the odd goal here and there. I think it's a bit similar to the situation with Marcos Alonso. Chelsea fans know he's only decent and should be upgraded, but the rest of the football community view him as one of the best left backs in the PL.

This is understandable. It's his only opportunity to leave for Real so he wants to at least have a chance to make a choice. Extending now means he can't even think about it. I don't think that necessarily means he wants to leave but he's definitely tempted. This summer is going to be crucial. Wether we can keep Eden and Conte, and sign more quality players will determine our ambitions and results in the next few years.

Lack of goals/chances is mainly due to the system in which Conte has us playing. There's too much pressure on the attackers and we're lacking input from the other positions such as Midfield and Wingback. Maybe even CBs. We don't score from corners anymore. The main source of goals are Hazard and Morata and that's about it. In order for that to work they need to turn into goal scoring machines which is unrealistic. Or we need better players. Tolisso-Sandro in the summer would have been so good.

Rudiger Ampadu Cahill is going to struggle a lot vs Frazer and Defoe.

I think Jose wanted both actually. He wanted Griezmann for a long time and the Morata rumours started to emerge after Zlatan's injury. Griezmann's alternative was most likely Perisic. As for Conte wanting Lukaku over Morata I seem to recall The Telegraph reporting Conte liked Morata but was worried about his work off the ball, quite baffling if you ask me but they were the ones who leaked the info.

Ridiculously talented headless chicken. That said, I'm sure Conte would turn him into a better player. Given specific instructions on how to play, his awful decision making would no longer be an issue. This is also the reason I wanted the Ox.

It's a Mourinho game. Yes we're dominating but it doesn't matter as long as we don't score. They'll probably get 1-2 chances and if they bury them before we score we will be in big trouble.

United is his likeliest destination. He has been linked with them for a while, and now Jose is their manager. He said himself he thinks he's the best coach he ever had. As for him coming here. The only player who does not work a lot off the ball is Hazard so unless he's replacing him or Conte is no longer the coach the club will not consider him.

I think he was too pragmatic. Today he should have taken more risks. To play Azpi at RWB rather than Zappa, also Willian over Michy. Heck I think even Kenedy should have been in contention for a place. The moment Morata was pulled off, he needed to bring in Michy(real 9) or switch to 2 midfielders.
