Agree with the bolded part. Disagree with the rest. But don't know how I said I want to please people. All I said is I don't have to cause I'm in the good books of everyone. Hardly know how it translates to me wanting myself to be liked by people, especially this one, which I have a feeling is either Nour, Stats or Alex. if I agree with the opinion of a person whose opinion you disagree with means that I suck up to over 200 people on the forum, then I don't know what to say really.

Not sure about the Spurs thing. I've said it before, Paulinho had a terrific game alongside Dembele and AVB aimed to make that pitch narrow . They suffocated passing lines , especially when Eriksen joined in with them. It was more due to the fact that Mikel had less options to spread the play, especially when Ramires was used to exploit Naughton. The whole game changed when he was brought in to the midfield. Not sure which other guy you are talking about, but I'm pretty sure that this is my opinion, which I've had for several years before joining this forum. Collective mistakes always fall on his shoulder. My opinion, and not anyone else's. I hardly have anyone to impress, cause I'm pretty sure I'm in the good books of almost everyone, and that is me being humble.

I'm not sure whether that was a sarcastic reply, or not. For me it depends on the type of opposition you're playing against. When he has been used so far, he has been very effective. So I have no complains about him when he has been used this season. You're welcome to disagree though. Sarcastic or not, I don't know anymore. Not a believer of emoticons really. But he is one.

Bloody hell. That's probably the most hilarious statement I've read on this forum. I don't want to continue the debate further, agree to disagree.

You're now my daily source of entertainment, now that the other guy doesn't show up. Mikel would have been worse than Lampard against Steaua cause we didn't need him. We needed someone who would aid in faster transitions to fuel our counter-attacks. Something Ramires did, and Lampard was average at. If Marco was there and available in our team list, he would have probably played. So to make you happy, yes it is true. In the game plan we used against Steaua, Mikel would have been very poor, much poorer than Lampard was. I would see us scoring only 1 out of those 4 due to him calming things down and aiming at keeping possession.
-
You're taking away credit from a lot of players by saying that. Yes Lampard played, scored a spectacular goal, but we could have had a more solid midfield by playing someone else. Due to Marco being injured and Obi rested for Norwich, we had to go with Lampard.
-
Lampard was still quite poor, Ramires on the other hand was brilliant. Still need to work on positioning and keep possession.

I hope you aren't serious .....

This. I've been finding so many ways to put it properly, and you've done it perfectly. kudos.

He'll start. That's why he was subbed against Spurs.
-
 I remember walking into a club's medical room and saying that. man they still think make fun of me for it.

Jose won't get him back. I honestly hope he doesn't. He is playing so good and he'll keep developing. If he comes back to us, it would be depressing to see his career be ruined while being behind Torres and Eto'o. Plus that crucial NT spot. Stay wherever you are Lukaku, and come back next year. It's the best decision for both the parties.
-
my bad, might have exaggerated a little bit by using that phrase.
-
you expanded on what I said perfectly.

True he isn't friendly, but I think many would say that the media are always provoking him. Never have I seen him be rude or insulting without reason.
-
I think what he meant is our inability to play down the flanks due to Ramires being there, not cause of Mikel. Both the players have almost the same percentage's of heat in central midfield and deep midfield. The lack of width was also a problem, cause of Paulinho's ability to narrow our game. Barely think it's either Lampard's or Mikel's fault that were playing deep. If we had a proper winger like Willian or Schurrle, we could have been a bit better, but Jose went for defense first and played Ramires. Didn't turn out well in hindsight though.

To be honest though, if this was Jose of the previous Chelsea, he would have started talking about eggs, chickens , domesticated animals and humiliated the journalist really badly. If he reacts harshly, media will twist it. The next thing you know KDB picks up a newspaper, reads that Jose is leading a revolution against him, and his morale drops deep. If he criticizes the media, he will be labeled immature, something he doesn't want, after what he said in his first press conference. We aren't United , we won't be favored in any way. If I was in Jose's place, I would have walked away without explaining. They've been battering him with questions about Mata and when it's finally confirmed that he will be playing, they switch the subject to another player that is not being selected. It's like they are launching some kind off propaganda based attack on the club. He's protected one of his players yet again. Papers are more likely to focus on Jose rather than Kevin who's left off back in London. He likes the spot light, but in this case , there is some kind of good out of it !

Jose storms out of press conference? Someone spoiled Breaking Bad's finale for him.
-
Really needs some time to recover. Playing him every game would mean burning him out, and we don't want that to happen. The squad depth should help us here.

imo, Oscar's been decent. Scored goals, worked hard, pre-season with Brazil, etc. He's got into Jose's good books, which would make it harder for someone to easily overthrow him. After his performance against Swindon and Tottenham, Juan's sent a strong message about how he can offer creativity in abundance and also the x factor Oscar won't able to. For all the defensive work-rate the Brazilian can provide, Mata gives something to the team that he won't be able to. Even though Steaua Bucharest are minnows in the group, they're still a tough European side to beat. If Juan can perform well, i.e. create chances, maybe score and work along with his team-mates as a unit, Jose will have a dilemma. He'll have to choose either defensive stability in attack or an all out option of having someone who can help others score left, right and center. If Juan doesn't perform well, I see him going back to the bench and Oscar retain that coveted spot. Small mistakes have huge costs in a team that has so much depth.
-
The performance against Tottenham was down to a lot of factors, Torres being fueled up, Ramires shifted back to midfielder and obviously Mata. I'm sure though that Jose isn't convinced on who to start with in the #10 role on long term. The game against Steaua will be make or break for Juan. Need's to step up and give his 110%.
