utter mindfuck and brilliant, kudos.

Diego Simeone? We aren't changing the tactical aspect then, it's only the man-management, a slight plus.
-
Nah a lot of people are, which is a good sign too, nothing bad to be ashamed about.
-
True. He'd give the youth a go to, apart from the fact that his philosophy is new and fresh. Grab him from the Saints like the Spurs did to Pochetinno. I love the way he works with the team, I remember being in a session conducted by one of his coaching staff and he's really well organized in terms of attacking drills and so on that so many complain about Jose's staff just not being good at.

Ronald Koeman not in the mix? How much will take to lure him away from the Saints?
-
That's going to need the club to change so much at the top that they'll literally be unwilling until the club is somewhat stable. So far we were going with the Ferguson type of stability and identity, one man at the helm for x years with y philosophy developed over z years and trophies . It's hard to go the Barcelona route, where the whole club runs on a fixed identity and managers are here only to employ it, especially in the EPL it sounds really tough.

I appreciate it when there is an actual reasoning and I see where you are coming from. Just because the man has done what he has for this club does not give him the leeway to escape criticism when the team is at 16th, especially considering the fact that Chelsea's been lacking the identity for over a year. I feel that as long as he manages to not lose the dressing room, especially key players like Terry, Ivanovic and Hazard, he might just make it to summer. But I totally understand the reason behind you wanting him gone, and if the manager market was any better, I would be sharing the same idea with you.
-
And that is the question. He was never the man to bring stability and last for years, because he doesn't have a track record to prove it. We brought him, and put faith into his plan, and now the idea is to pull out cause things cannot be any worse. I guess it really isn;t about building a new team, it's about just updating it. When we failed to do so this year, it's going to force us to overhaul. Overhaul or sack him, and once you sack him who do we go to? Because if the idea is for the next manager to step up to the plate and provide a long term vision with stability then we're going down the same path once again.

We lost KDB and Mata, with Lukaku and Bertrand (Winter) out on loans in the 13/14 season. We hit a record number of points 82 since 2009/10 when we won the double, and also made it to a CL semi-final. Then we sold Luiz and Bertrand in winter, to win a title since 2009/10. He overhauled the squad and got his results. He needed the players this summer and the club failed to get them. So I don't really believe there has been a problem with him overhauling. Though you are right about the whole Azpilicueta-Ivanovic setup, which isn't conventional, but did yield results last year.

What a disgraceful performance from a set of players who performed the way they did against Porto. Absolutely zero motivation in the way they played largely thanks to no chance of us not winning the league. Never been this ashamed.
-
What fantastic draws, brilliant games to look forward to.

Good to see Roman in the crowd. Happy for the man, tough few weeks and now two sets of fans singing his name.

I've tried to stay away from here, but for each and every one who was in that stadium tonight, take a fucking bow. In a state of turmoil such as this where there is negativity creeping up from every corner possible, it's good to see such sort of support for a man under so much fire . Wherever you look, all you see is a charging hate-train, and for a man to go through what he has been through for the past few months it must feel fucking incredible to see so many people behind him. Thanks for what you did.

Not what I intended...

I want to see a Azpi-Terry-Zouma-Ivan backline.
-
Probably the most level headed response I've seen, kudos.
-
This. Well put. On theory this actually would work out very well, especially against a side like Porto.
-
I feel like this move was engineered with Pogba on the back of our mind.
-
Then thats your pov. Is that what others feel? I don't think so. That's your opinion, ours differ. Agree to disagree.
-
How does one overcome with it then? I have no problem if you want to sack him. Go ahead do it, and find another manager. We go through the same cycle, and end up calling for his head the moment things turn upside down. And at the end of it, cry for stability. Isn't it a worrying trend? If we once and for all declare our purpose and ambitions as being a club that wants to win full stop, then make it very clear. People cry for youth development, stability and at the same time want the manager's sacked as soon as possible. It makes no sense to me?
-
It's over-reaction. TC's synonymous for it. Wind's change quicker than results. Sacking the manager does nothing for the club. We go back to crying for stability
-
Good point gained at a ground we rarely show up at. It's been long since we got away with anything at St.James. Good reaction from the second half, and a brilliant performance from Rami. Moving on to the next one.

Paco Biosca. A legend in the field of medicine ( in terms of football) and sports science. The brilliant injury record ranging from the first team to the bottom squads was more thanks to him than it was to Eva. I think a lot of people also miss out the fact that our fitness coaches did a brilliant job as well, Chris Jones in particular.

The reluctance to shoot is almost like a habit that;s been growing for years now. Almost like the boys do it everyday in training. We play so well to bring the ball to the final third, then get cold feet and pass it around again. The no nonsense direct approach is imbibed in Pedro's play and hopefully he doesn't end up losing it.

I can't be the only one who thinks JT still has a role to play? Different games require different players, I expect Chelsea to play a high-line more so that we grab the initiative early on and score. We need goals and points. But I definitely do expect JT to feature on in games that we really do need to focus more on defense.
