Juan Mata: Chelsea accept Manchester United's £37m bid Manchester United have had a bid, believed to be in the region of £37m, accepted by Chelsea for Spanish midfielder Juan Mata. The 25-year-old will have a medical at Old Trafford on Thursday before completing a move to the Premier League champions. Mata is expected to sign a four-and-a-half year deal at Old Trafford.

There's a difference between being the best number 10 at the club and being the most fitting number 10 in regards to formation/style. Personally, I'd prefer the latter.

If he goes, we better get Rooney or a striker equally as good at the club ASAP. I'd much rather 20m + Rooney than 40m for Mata. Bring in Shaw and some other world class talent as well. Disgraceful by a board.

i'd hate to see Mata leave, he's one of my favourite players, but if it means getting Rooney in now and not in the summer then I'd be fairly happy. They'd obviously have to have a lot of money involved as well.

I'm hearing that Gundogan is for sale, if we're bidding around 25m for Matic I see no reason why we cannot push an extra five million for the best CM in the world.

Matic is a great player, not sure if I'd preferred him over Marchisio/Pogba/Vidal who are up for grabs though. Gundogan would defo be my choice.

If both were around the same price, who'd you rather, Pogba or Matic?

I have a strong feeling we'll put Manchester United to the sword here, winning by a very comfortable margin, even though that's not our usual style under Mourinho. With Van Persie, and also possibly Rooney, ruled out there's a very small outlet for goals... I couldn't imagine their midfield of Cleverley, Fletcher and Carrick to cause any trouble against us. Their defense is leaking goals as well, we've conceded one goal to their eight in the last few games.
