Blues midfielder Michael Essien may be on his way out of Stamford Bridge as new Milan boss Clarence Seedorf looks to make him his first signing according to reports in La Gazzetta dello. Essien's agent Fabien Piveteau had previously revealed the desire to leave Chelsea, whilst indicating a move to Italy was very likely. Piveteau today denied there had been any official contact with the Rossoneri, but is hoping Chelsea can come round to the idea soon. "Milan have to first speak with Chelsea and the London club have to decide what they want to do with Essien", Piveteau told Spazio Milan. "We have not yet opened any direct talks with AC Milan, but this does not mean he cannot move to Italy. "Clearly this is a great opportunity for my player. "Milan are still in the running in the Champions League and are a great club, despite the difficulties of the moment. "Essien is fine and wants to play ahead of the World Cup, where he intends to do well with the Ghana national team. "We are fascinated by the Milan hypothesis and, from here to the end of the month, we want to explore and understand all the requirements." Essien has spent more than eight years at Chelsea, but was out on loan at Real Madrid last season where played under current Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has joined Championship club Middlesbrough on loan for the rest of the season. The Nigeria international, who was farmed out to Eredivisie club ADO Den Haag last term, joined the Blues in January 2012 from Standard Liege. The 20-year-old hopes to secure regular game-time at the Riverside Stadium to boost his chances of representing his country at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Click here to view the article

We last met Derby in the FA Cup third round in 1988, with Chelsea winning 3-1. Chelsea have faced Derby County 104 times in history in all competitions and the latter boast a better record in wins and goals scored - 38 to 37 and 153 to 152 respectively. Chelsea havent lost an FA Cup third round tie since losing 5-3 against Man Utd in 1998. Derby have lost all six of their FA Cup encounters with Premier League sides over the last 16 years. Chelsea have won six of their last seven meetings with Derby. Derby were FA Cup winners for the only time in 1946. Chelsea have won the competition seven times, with all seven of their FA Cup victories coming between 1970 and 2012. Chelsea last met Derby in March 2008 at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea winning 6-1. This is the seventh FA Cup meeting between Derby and Chelsea. Each team has won twice and there have been two draws.

I've disabled the sidebar nav for now as there was some loading issues. Let me know if you see any problems, If you have a non apple device post some screenshots so i can see what its like. iPhone view iPad view.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and defender Branislav Ivanovic will be out of action until the end of January. Boss Jose Mourinho confirmed the news after Chelsea's impressive 3-0 victory over Southampton on New Year's Day, which they both missed. Both men picked up injuries during Saturday's 2-1 win over Liverpool. Serbian defender Ivanovic suffered a knee injury and was substituted in the first half while England international Lampard sustained a muscle injury and did not come out for the second half. They will miss Sunday's FA Cup third round tie at Derby County and league games at Hull City and at home to Manchester United and West Ham United later this month.
