Not sure if i'm pissed off or not. Seems a bit shit that they've come to cobham of all the places in England, let alone London/Surrey. At least i know what to smash up and where to go when they next give us a UCL screwing. Can actually attack Barca locally, that appeals.....

I dunno, maybe we'll join em in some capacity, have a few matches and a few joint sessions and learn from the way they play. Trying to think positive because there's not much we can do about it. We may be able to form some kinda partnership and we can take some of theirs and they can take some of ours.

Doesn't look good in all honesty but could work for us in the long run. FC Barcelona is the best team in the world atm, play outstanding football and are certainly one of the top/biggest 3 clubs in popularity worldwide and It will attract a lot more interest in the area. We'll see what may happen in the future. I can see us scouting those talented kids learning 'The Barca way'. Most will probably be English too so win-win and it could also help England and English players on technique. The technical English player may be born soon :)

This could be a good thing. We need British kids learning this type of football for the modern game.

I see your point though, for every one Josh there are 100 Walcotts. This could benefit English football... and benefit us (first dibs on the Fabregas/Pique-like rejects of the future :D)

I have mixed feeling about this... On the one hand it would be bad for us, because most youngsters would want to go and play for Barcelona, because they are the best side in the world. And that would mean less youngsters will join our academy.

I don't know why they would set up an academy right next to us, why not some where else England. If i was going to start an academy for Barcelona i would pick somewhere in South america, for obvious reasons. I just think setting up an Academy in England is kind of weird.

But on the other hand, This is good for England, and i mean very good. How long have we all been saying that we need to play good football, This academy will teach them how to play the Barca way, and that's only a good thing. Also i'm sure we would be able to steal a few of their youngsters, because right now i don't see any youngster breaking through into Barcelona's first team, unless they are world beaters. Even Thiago Alcantara is having a hard time breaking in to the first team, and honestly i would be shocked if he is not going to be one of the best players in the world in a few years time.

Overall, there are positives and negatives about Barcelona starting their Academy right next to us, i for one think there are more positives, because this can only help the game we all love, Football.
