LDN Blue 7,903
Barcelona are to open an academy in Surrey, placing them in direct competition with Chelsea. The Catalan giants have struck a deal which will see them set up their first training camp outside of Spain.Barca will begin staging coaching classes for 300 hopefuls between the ages of six and 16 from April at ACS school in Cobham. The school, which is less than two miles from Chelsea's training ground, is attended by the children of Didier Drogba and Yossi Benayoun.Barca appreciate that they will be competing for promising talent with the reigning Premier League champions, but believe both sides will benefit from the initiative.Academy coach Xevi Marce said: "We are not coming here to be in competition with Chelsea."We are going to start slowly but surely to build a team here, train all the kids and get that passion."In the future we might lose a player or two to Chelsea or the other way around. It is not a problem."This makes things worse for us. The attraction to Barcelona is much greater than Chelsea.

LDN Blue 7,903
This is like a McDonald's setting up shop opposite a Burger King. Not even on that scale.. It's like putting a Tesco supermarket opposite a grocery store :\It's ridiculous! I fear to think what will run through the minds of players like Kakuta when they're training, to see the highly skilful Barcelona managers and players opposite the road. LDN Blue 7,903
who would play for a club full of divers and a team which is regarded as the Uefa's Official bitch. You can't be serious? Barcelona are the best team in the world right now. Their reputation of bringing players through their youth ranks outshines any club in the world, their future and present is backed up by their past too.As a player if you're offered the chance to play for Chelsea or Barcelona, you'd go to Barcelona. (As a young player)http://www.yourlocal...a_FC_territory/From April 18 to 22. The point of the article is, they're opening the academy, regardless. The debate of when is pointless.
