Lampard's not playing, he's torn his thigh muscle in training. What a fucking surprise <_<

-------------

Injured Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard faces a further two-week lay-off after tearing his thigh muscle for a second time during training.

Lampard, who has been out since Boxing Day, is now a doubt for England's match with Switzerland on 6 February.

Chelsea boss Avram Grant said: "Frank's injury is a little bit more complicated than we thought. He has torn his thigh muscle for a second time.

"I think it could be between a few days or two weeks from now."

Grant had hoped Lampard would be fit enough to face Everton in Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final second leg at Goodison Park.

Chelsea go into the match with a 2-1 lead after the first leg at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.

Grant last night taunted Everton fans by saying they are a small club. Big Bad Avram Grrr.

(Daily Mirror)

Also, The Toad has hinted he couldn't care less about the Carling Cup. Same as Wenger.

(The Sun)

To be fair Everton are a small and pointless club :D

Saying the same as Jose always said. If you list the cups in priority, this would be bottom, although we go into every single game to win it.

Lol, pulling the plug would be hilarious

Mourinho always said its important, but fourth in priority. Yeah Evertons recent history not as good as ours, but they've won the League six times more. :)

i'm a bit worried about this game BUT feel we can do it... where we have added stregth to our squad, everton have been weakened by the departures of Yakubu and Peinnar

i think we might line up as below

..............Cech..............

Belletti....Alex...Ricky..Cole

...Ballack..Maka...Sidwell

...Cole..Anelka..Malouda

that team is good enough to go to Goodison and not lose over 90mins... remember guys, thats all we need to do.... NOT LOSE!!

If we go to Goodison with the mentality of drawing the game, then we will lose. We need to go to Goodison with the mentality of wanting to win the game, we must make this as comfortable as possible. I don't want this game to be 1-0 to Everton at full-time.

The way the away system works in this one is:-

after 90 mins away goals do not count (i.e if the game ends level on agg (2-2 3-3 4-4)) then extra time will be played

after 120mins away goals to count

(just thought i'd clear that up incase people didn't realise)

i think we can do it.... i just hope we manage to keep 11men on the pitch this time. cos those scouse prats will want a red for every stupid tackle tonight. the ref needs to be strong
