DYC. 7,542
I personally don't think Eto'o will/should win it. I know he won the double with Inter, but he wasn't very profilic that season, nor is he this. This could be because José played him down the wing (which he hated). Drogba had his best season in his career last season. Unfortunately he played the entire World Cup injured and so couldn't make an impact. This season he's been total shit I don't know about Gyan last season, but I know he had a phenomenal World Cup and he's having a good season with Sunderland, let's be fair, he ripped us apart with Welbeck. So I really wouldn't mind if it goes to Gyan.Samuel Eto'o 2010/2011:10 goals in 13 league games7 goals in 4 CL matches

Madmax 9,219
Eto'o won the treble. He was peripheral in their Champions League run. Sneijder made that UCL win possible. He's scored 19 goals from 18 appearances this season already, while Drogba's got 8 from 20. That's what swung it in his favour IMO. Madmax 9,219
Fixed that for you .Perhaps so, but the point about Eto'o not being a principal agent of that UCL success remains ...But deserved of course, maybe Chelsea fans don't really appreciate him because of all the goals he's scored against us. DYC. 7,542
Not surprising since the master of people management managed to convince a world-class striker to play as a wingback and got him to give his all in that role without complaining. And it isn't like Drogba really performed in last year's CL (this year too). But like you stated earlier, his briliant form in a struggling side this first half of the season was decisive.
