Aesthetic Relic 301
Soccer-Drogba scores in his first start since knee surgeryDidier Drogba started his first game since a knee operation last month and scored in Ivory Coast's 2-0 African Nations Cup warm-up win over Kuwait in Kuwait City on Saturday.Drogba, who came on as a substitute last week for his English club Chelsea in his first match back after a month-long lay-off, got the second goal of the game.It was the African footballer of the year's 30th goal for the Ivorians in 47 international appearances. His Chelsea team mate Salomon Kalou had opened the scoring six minutes earlier for the team coached by Frenchman Gerard Gili, who replaced German Uli Stielike last Monday.Good to see both Chelsea boys getting on the score sheet, more so Drogba as we need him to stay sharp and injury free. middleoftheshed 388
Sounds good.Need him to bring this sort of form back to us in February.Don't know whether I want them to do well for their country or get knocked out so they come back faster. Ollie 4,400
sounds awesome, both Chelsea players scoring. 30 goals for DD in 47 games, jesus thats immense. i hope all the Chelsea boys play well, thats one of the main reasons i'll watch a lot of games. Hope Ivory Coast win it, they were unlucky last time. The 2 Chelsea guys up front will be key for them.
misschief 24
Personally I hope they get knocked out as quick as possible so they can get their arses back. Why is anyone bothered anyway? no-one gives a shit when its England - and the players dont even miss games for that.

BlueLion. 21,491
I think it would do the world of good for the player if he gets a fair amount of football in the tournament, but I'd prefer him back as soon as possible. Same goes for Essien.
