Wilson 358
Do you think Turnbull should start against Zilina when we play at home? I mean why not, no disrespect to Zilina, they dont stand a chance and we have the advantage this time lol. I'm guessing Ancelotti will put the youngsters out again with 4 max first team players (Terry, Lampard, Cole and probably Essien). Hell, this lineup would do me fine! TurnbullVan Aanholt - Bruma - Alex- Ivanovic Kakuta - Ramires - Mikel - Zhirkov Kalou - SturridgeSaying that though, we have a great team just now that are playing with excellent chemistry, and if we did such a big change like that, could it change our mindset and put us off form? Hmm
BomTrett 50
No disrespect to Turnbull but, No. If he started against Newcastle, i'd understand, but we're unlikely to take big risks in the CL, even against opposition such as Zilina. Who played very well, and the scoreline doesnt particularly do justice to how well they fought. We obviously were superior, but Cech made some great saves in that match, and we're much more solid with him in goal. Yes he made a mistake, but that it seemed like a communication breakdown between him and Alex. I wouldnt play Alex with Bruma either, Terry would always start in my book, and i wouldnt risk Van Aanholt or Bruma either. Not being negative or anything, but as you said yourself, big changes could throw us off form a lil bit, and then we'd have an embarrasing result on our hands at home against Zilina, possibly haha. Wouldn't mind, in such a game to see Kakuta starting, and maybe for sturridge to come on. I do like Daniel Sturridge, but last night i felt at times he seemed a bit out of position, and didnt really get take the chance to do anything 'special', i.e. beat players and go on to shoot, and his goal ( a very good finish mind you) was due to a great pass from Yossi. I'd like to see Yossi in the team for certain CL games as well, maybe instead of Zhirkov in the team you listed above. Going back to Danny Sturridge, i do recognise what a fantastic talent he is, but he needs more opportunity as a substitute, so he can gain regular experience, and show good form, giving Carlo reason to start him in games, with confidence he'll play well. Styles 9,790
He's rubbish. I'd rather Hilario.
LDN Blue 7,903
It's Champions League, one are of the pitch we're not 100% in is defence (though we are 99% )You can't risk such things in the Champions League. Cech all the way.The Carling Cup, on the other hand, would be perfect for Turnbull/Walker
chrismada9 1,948
I don't like Turnbull at all, his decision making is poor! I feel he should be used as part of a deal to bring Begovic to the club in January.

bombayblue™ 55
Like it or not Turnbull is gone next summer. Delac should go straight into the first team squad..
Kostas 1,468
Delac will take Hilario's place, that is unless we buy Stoke's keeper.
BlueLion. 21,491
Has anyone actually seen Delac play? More to point, no-one has seen him play in the Premier League, so I don't quite think he'll be in our first team straight away.
