Vesper 30,224
PROJECT GELÄNDEWAGEN IS A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT, TO CREATE A UNIQUE DESIGN PIECE FROM AN ICONIC CAR MODEL: THE MERCEDES-BENZ G-CLASS. The project sees Virgil Abloh work with Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer, Gorden Wagener - the two creatives each known as leaders in their respective fields. This marks the unification of two worlds: fashion and art with automotive. The objective is to push the boundaries of each respective creative realm and reimagine the luxury landscape. https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/events/mercedes-benz-x-virgil-abloh.html PROJECT GELÄNDEWAGEN: VIRGIL ABLOH TAKES ON A MERCEDES-BENZ CLASSIC A true master of the art of creative collaboration, esteemed artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh has unveiled what might be his most impressive partnership yet. Teaming up with Mercedes-Benz, he has produced Project Geländewagen, a one-off creation that's arguably more of an artwork than an automobile. https://www.opumo.com/magazine/virgil-abloh-mercedes-benz/ Abloh worked with Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener to reimagine the iconic G-Class SUV as a streamlined racing car, stripping it back and removing indicators, outside mirrors and bumper bars, as well as giving it a hand-sanded paint job. The interior has also had a full revamp. In true racing style, it's been fitted with a racing steering wheel and bucket seats, while the digital dashboard has been replaced by an analogue speedometer and fuel gauges, the likes of which are typical of classic cars. Whether you love or hate the new model, there's no denying that it's an impressive makeover. But we would expect nothing less from a Virgil Abloh-designed G-Class. None of the ones I said could have survived without the frig that was associated to it.The only real one I can think that didnt rely on something was the New Romantics and Punk to an extent.Tho there were still many of those high as kites on summet or other the scene would have carried on without. Its not just about a new clothes fashion or new type of music. Its the people adopting all 3 together and making it their own..

When the lockdown was announced in March, her work started drying up and she needed a way to earn money to support herself and her two daughters. She decided to set up a hash and cannabis edibles delivery business: the “National Hashish Service” (NHS). Hey, you around? Mandy: Yes, hi. You’re a graphic designer. How come you started selling cannabis? In March, when no one knew what lockdown meant, or if the borders would close, I ended up buying some high quality hash in bulk from a friend, using a good chunk of my savings. It was a bit impulsive, but I thought it would be a good investment, especially because I smoke it. snip

I know a few honest law abiding normal couples that have got into the edibles market over the past few month and are doing very nicely. We are so slow and backward here in UK. Legalize cannabis. The septic Govt are raking in $m thru it in taxes with more and more states decriminalizing and allowing medicinal use. Their prisons are emptying many from possession. And such a lot of work has gone into the medical side of it. Theres alot of work going on with MDMA so I see that too decrimializing. Let the public carry x amount of G's and grow 5 plants for personal. Need to get the UK upto date. Vesper
