Real are subsidised by the Spanish government, indirectly, so no surprise there. Just as Liverpool -if the Chinese deal goes through, will be subsidised by the Chinese government which in theory could make Man City look like paupers.

Thing is, we sold a lot of those players too. I'm just wondering what the difference would be if we compared it too all players we sold in the same time period.

Well Real also sold a lot of players. Stupid decisions if you ask me. But meh, who cares. Makelele, Sneijder, Robben to name few :D
