BlueLion. 21,491
At the end of the day, Rooney probably has a better work rate than Drogba. Didier does have those games where he acts like a spoiled brat and just mopes around up front. Rooney never stops running, which is probably the only minuscule advantage he has over our big man. vishalmarathe 0
Realistically speaking Drogba shud win the PFA award because as a player he can achieve a Premiership trophy and FA Cup trophy for Chelsea, while if you look at the other players except Rooney ( Carling Cup ,yeah rite tht shud win him the PFA award:rant:) they wont achieve and trophies this seasonbut isnt it true tht by the time we have the fa cup final and premiership trophy the votes will already be in. Drogba shud win it for me :champions: Edited April 16, 2010 by vishalmarathe
Joe Cool 388
To be honest, I think Rooney should win it. If you look at how United play when he hasn't been there, they've been complete shite. He was really their main player and they relied completely on him due to his incredible work rate and pace. As for Drogba, we can do fine without him and the fact that a lot of the time he falls on the ground as if he's been shot doesn't help. Manuf 1,448
All people that voted for Rooney says that it's because ManUtd wouldn't win anything without him, but is better team the reason for 1 player not to win the award he deserves? For me Drogs should win it, but it's gonna be Roo for sure. And to look at statistics: in PL Wayne has 1 more goal but 1 more match as well and when he has 4 assists it's nothing against 11 that Drogba has. Besides Roo has 5 goals from penalties so think what would happen if Drogba shot our penalties instead of Lampard. What would 26 goals of Roo be to Drogba's 32? And the other thing that bugs me is when people say Roo is more like team-player and Drogba is selfish - for me it's bullshit. During the game when Drogba is up front you can see him always getting back for corners and free kicks - something that Rooney is not doing. And when people call him diving queen, WTF is that? Maybe last season, but now it's not Drogba who has yellow card for diving.I also can't understand why Lampard isn't in this 4. He has 18 goals and 14 assists. He has been extraordinary for last few years. He deserved it.
