I'm really hoping to be able to get a ticket for the match against Inter Milan at the San Siro stadium. I really need your advice regarding tickets and availability of tickets. Will I stand a chance as a member getting a ticket? Which is the best/cheapest airline for booking flights?

Got your Pm but thought id reply so everyone who is interested can see..

We should get 6k tickets so as long as your up early u will be fine, i booked with lufthansa but most cheap options would have gone yesterday as the flight companies like to put their prices up.

To be honest as it would be your first euro away esp if travelling on your own i would advise to go on a charter trip either flight options £189 or with the club £195 ( bonus with the club is they gurantee you a ticket so you may prefer this) both are day trips leaving early from gatwick with transfers to the city center and then to the game with coaches waiting to take you back to the airport afterwards.

I have used both companies and found them pretty much the same ..you get a free collectable badge with flight options with the two teams and dates on it .. ( i personally wont use flight options as they screwed my dad over meaning his plane for the champions league final never left gatwick!!)

Just booked my hotel for the game and i think its the same as the Swedish blues so should be eventful and no doubt plenty of drink will be consumed.

Taking your advice on board, I think I will probably for this match do the combined match and travel deal with the club. In your experience how much will a ticket cost? It says on the website that this cost will be deducted from my credit card. I just need an estimate.

Would probably be around £40 - £60 , more expensive at the moment due to the poor euro, they will just hand you your tickets on the plane

oh and another bit of advice at euro aways ignore what your ticket says it is sit where you like despite what Chelsea may say on the plane ( fans unofficial rule sort of thing)

I can not wait euro aways are great and some of the lock ins can result in some very funny memories ( we will be locked in the ground for around an hour after the game)

Cheers mate, I appreciate your advice. I am really buzzing at the prospect of going to Milan and I can't wait. It'll all be worth it, being there supporting the lads and watching some fantastic football.

Hopefully its the right result aswell for you mate ;)

Well I hope so too. Just so looking forward to the whole coming together/United as one of fans and to really get behind the lads so that they know we're there supporting them. I've been to a few away games and all of the home games in the UK this season and I have to say that the support from where I was sitting for some of the games wasn't as good as it could have been. I know it is frustating to watch when when we're losing, but surely that's all the more reason to get behind the team.

Going to be a fucking great away day. I'm flying in the day before because I like the city of Milan. Oh Ray, since this is your first away I wouldn't wear any colors if I were you. I normally only take a scarf or sometimes a flag that I'll just leave in the stadium. At least its not Rome eh?

Yeah I know I have a feeling it will be a good one. OK, I will be travelling with the club which will mean that there will be a coach to meet me at Milan and take me to the stadium. Are you saying that there could or will be a problem after the match wearing my colours, even if i'm wearing my shirt and I do my coat up. My plan would be to wear my shrit till I get to the stadium and wear it visible during the game itself, then do my coat up until I get on the coach.

Buy a membership mate it's £25, the tickets won't go on loyalty points so the morning they go on sale you can just go on and get a ticket. Last season you had to take your deceleration form personally to the Bridge but they now offer a postal service.

You will be fine if your shirt is under your coat.. it will be cold our there , the only trouble will be with the police ... you will be fine as your on the club trip and going straight on the coach at the end ... its more for if your walking about late at night in the city .

Thanks. As you say because i'll be on the official trip, they always drop us of outside the stadium or very near and always insist that we return promptly after the final whistle ( I know you've said in this case that there will be a delay in leaving which I guess Thomas Cook/Chelsea will take into account. I just want to enjoy the whole experience and feel proud to wear my shirt. I am aware that in foreign coountries it can cause problems if you openly wear your shirt. The last thing I would want to do is to cause trouble.

Aye, if you're on the official trip you'll be fine. Just don't wander around late at night signing 'blue is the color', waving an england flag, and wearing a Chelsea top.

Thanks mate. You can read me like a book, that's just what I was planning to do, lol. Seriously, I know what you mean and i'm sure it'll all be fine.

Milan is not a very safe place for away football fans... especially after they get beaten their supporters will be rowdy.

I'm well aware that their may well be problems. I just want to enjoy the whole experience, but at the same time I know I need to be safety conscious. I'm sure it will all be fine.
