Let me ask you. Why do people call Messi the best on Earth and debate whether Ronaldo or Messi is The best on earth? What are they talking about there? Hmmm?

because people actually think so. and that's when grandparents and wise people come and tell them about Ronaldinho, pele, maradonna, muller etc.otherwise most of the time it is defined to be "currently", right now or playing... by the way u really deviate from the point, I asked u if there is a problem with my previous statement and I am still waiting for an answer. considering u r Harvard or an oxford grad who can say easily pass judgement on people's English and other abilities, I don't think u must have much of a problem.

I rest my case. Good day, Sir.

what??? u really just read what u want to read n make your own understandings out of it don't u? when I say "in most of the cases it is defined as currently, playing right now" I mean they say it so... messi is the best player on the earth currenly, or federer is the best tennis player "in the open era"... wait u wont understand. again u will just take 2-3 words from the whole post and make up a completely different understanding.

And I was saying the same thing for Clarke. It was you who made the mistake of thinking I said the best ever, so just admit it.

Damn! That was why i never wanted KP to return to the England cricket team for the India's tour. He is just class apart. What a brilliant inning. One of the most destructive batsman in the world.

Pujara is the new Dravid. I hope he isn't picked for the ODI team because over the years, Dravid has ruined a lot of ODI matches for India (no disrespect to him - one of the greatest Test batsman ever) but it's a different case in the ODI's. he was great in his early years but later on, any partnership involving dravid slowed india down and over the years, the team stuttered in a lot of chases due to increasing required run rate. i see Pujara doing the same if he comes to the ODI team.

He has long way to go to be compared to Dravid IMO. Yes, he is a fantastic find. Has brilliant temperament and his technique is quite sound too but i would like to see him play in Australia, SA and England once before passing that judgement. Coming to his slow game, if you saw the 2nd innings in the 1st test, he was very positive. Yes, the pressure wasn't that much considering we were chasing a small total but he was stroking the ball beautifully. He should be given a chance in ODIs too. But don't bring him any where near to T20. It will ruin his game.

We still need to see him play a few matches against tough opposition overseas before we can truly judge him...and IMO he need not even play limited overs cricket if he does well in tests,he could be the new Laxman instead...decent one day and t20 batsmen are 10 a penny,it's genuine quality in tests that we truly lack,,,

Michael Clarke has recently been named (rightfully) the best batsman in the world in the ICC rankings. As I said before, facts don't lie. The guy is, as of late, Bradman-esque. We should have beaten South Africa. We really have improved tons.

The reaolve shown by De Villiers and Du Plessis on his debut was quite remarkable...great test match...

Indeed, it was a gutsy innings. Australia should have done better though. We had enough time to bowl them out. The No.1 test ranking is now on the line in the last match.

Aleem Dar had his usual nonsense this George Dobell tweet says it all:

"It turns out I use the same tailor as Aleem Dar. Which, seeing as he has recently gone blind, might not be such a good thing. #nc"

But still I was very disappointed. And I continue to stress how shitty Dhoni is for our test team.
