Think Kono is banned but as this is the cricket thread, i'm just posting this for Cricket thread's sake lol.

He always says come back when you win 5-0 but 4-0 from 4 games, can't get much better that that. So gutted the 3rd match was rained off. I would love it, love it if we won the Ashes 5-0. But soon, we could top all the cricket rankings http://www.cricketwo...eam-ranking.php

Bring on South Africa. We usually do well against them.

Also on another note, condolences to Mark Boucher. Was a horrific, freak injury and i hope he makes a good, speedy recovery. A real legend of the game.

To be honest I think England will have a tough time against South Africa.

Also a 5-0 Ashes win is beyond this England team. It takes the very best teams of all time to do that, even Bradman's Invincibles couldn't do it. Steve Waugh's Australia couldn't, either, and I think the 06/07 5-0 was hurt pride wanting to make a statement following the 05 Ashes defeat.

I think it's very much possible. Obviously a lot of luck is needed and the weather needs to stay good but this current England team are vastly better than this Aussie one. We won 3-1 in Aus in the last one and we're getting better year by year. All of the 3 wins were by an innings and runs, it was a battering. Won't get too ahead of myself tho, a lot can happen between now and the first test.

South Africa be a stern test but that`s why they number 2 in the world whilst we are number 1. both teams can win away from home. can`t wait till it starts. i can`t remember the last time South Africa beat us in England or Wales tho..think it was before Nelson Mandela was locked up

feel bad for Mark Boucher..great player over the years, quite tragic how it ended with that freak ice injury, but really even with spin wicket keepers need to be wearing helmets or have some form of eye protection, the ball can still zip up with spinners, especially when the batsman slices it.

their rugby players have a twisted delight in trying to blind the opposition but their cricketers have been classy.would have been karma if it had happened to a rugby player from there instead.

(if anyone wants to chip in with Dylan Hartley being a dirty bastard. no problems with that,i`ve always supported Wales at Rugby as i`m half welsh and my maternal grandfather was part of the 1936 welsh national championship winning team Cross Keys)

OH YEAH?

Here's the overall record between Australia and England since January 1, 2007:

And all time:

We're still 52 wins ahead of you on the all time record, and 6 wins in the last 5 years. That will take decades to overhaul B). That 729 was made when Sir Donald Bradman made 254. England's best player over those 5 days was an Indian, Kumar S. Duleepsinjhi.

Don't worry too much as our side is weakened at the moment, maybe not on paper but form wise. All rugby teams eye gouge we just good at it :halo:

i was pretty dyslexic it seems there.."freak ice injury" meant eye obviously.

Welsh players you won`t find eye gouging. to date i`ve never known of any and have watched them for over 30 years. they more likely to get sent off for mistimed tackles.blowing their top and brawlin` etc..

aye South Africa are the best at that. i guess every sport has it`s ugly side that`s hard to stomach. i just think doing something that could end up blinding someone is a bit too much for me. i`m not sure if i`d feel this way anyway but my mother is blind so perhaps that has something to do with it but i guess nobody really wants it in the game..

it`ll be a good series. South Africa won over here a few years back, for some reason i thought it had been a lot longer since they had. i know i would have watched it.

apart from Boucher is it weakened anymore?..as far as i know.. Smith ,Kallis,Amla and Steyn are all gonna be there.your best players..
