Steve 10,227
Chelsea fans slammed by Ray Wilkins Chelsea fans turned on beleaguered boss Luiz Felipe Scolari and jeered: "You don't know what you're doing." The draw with Hull City sparked an angry backlash and there were jeers at the end amid calls for Gianfranco Zola and Roberto Di Matteo to return to Stamford Bridge. Zola is currently enjoying a successful spell at West Ham while Di Matteo has impressed at MK Dons and one banner read: "Zola-Di MatteoChelsea legends in." But Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins hit back at the boo-boys, calling them "out of order". "It is never pleasant to hear and that was disappointing," he said. "It is a minority that will start it and then others join in. They pay their money and it is a lot of money they have to pay to watch football these days and if they want to boo it is up to them. "But to say to man who has achieved what he has achievedisatad out of order." Wilkins conceded that the next three games will have a significant say in the shape of Chelsea's season. They play Watford at Vicarage Road in the FA Cup, Aston Villa in the Premier League and then Juventus in the Champions League. "Every game now is vitally important," said Wilkins. "But we will not give up on the title. We will keep plugging away. "It is going to be difficult to catch Manchester United. Theyhave two games in hand butwewill give it a good go. "Second is not good enough for Chelsea. We strive to be number one. "As for the pressure on the manager, when someone manages at a club like Chelsea, there is always pressure to get success. We will continue to work hard Wilkins claimed that Scolari would not have understood the chants that were directed at him. "I don't thinkheknew what they were saying and, no, I didn't feel it necessary to tell himwhatwasbeing said." he added. "I just don't think that should be heard around our stadium." Hull manager Phil Brown was "ecstatic" with his own team's performance and reckoned Hull might well have compounded Scolari's misery with a win. "We didn't come to Chelsea and park the bus," he said. "We tried to catch them on the counter attack and on a good day, Craig Fagan could have had a hat-trick." misschief 24
Wilkins is a dick. Doesnt he realise the PR spiel is just bullshit to all of us now? We've been hearing this crap all season and seeing very little evidence of us doing anything about our slide down the league. Now we're 4th he's telling us 2nd isnt good enough. Twat. Fulham Broadway 17,312
How about hearing Huge Phil explain the abysmal recent form ? Hiding behind Wilkins wont make it go away -and none of the ''This is Football'' bollocks. Abramovich must realise one of the biggest mistakes of his life was pushing Mourinho out...
