The signs are not great at all at the moment that is for sure.

And it is somewhat of a worry that we have Drogba and Anelka as our striker options with Di Santo as an option. And on the wings we have Joe Cole (who hasn't had a great start), Kalou (who hasn't got going yet) and Malouda (who never looks like he wants to get going) with Sinclair as an option.

We clearly need something upfront and it was clear right from the end of the season, but the situation has got more neccessary because of us offloading Wright-Phillips, Pizarro and Shevchenko.

If we hadnt sold so many players I would have been happy with this squad with just Deco and Bosingwa added, but now I feel we do not have enough, if there are more than likely injuries this season, who do we turn to? We saw that yesterday vs Spurs.

Exactly, Drogba has become more injury prone, same with Ballack. I still find it very hard to believe that Wright-Phillips would have gone without us having a replacement lined up - unless someone has seriously f**ked up somewhere....

Definitely with Matthew on this one! What looked like a rather strong and deep squad, now looks like a bland, empty and unperforming group of players.

Our squad is still very good, although extremely light. The only player i am not particulary happy with is Malouda - other than that our squad is very good. But lacking in options now in forward positions...

Someone said something about "offer Malouda as part of any deal to bring Robinho to Chelsea?"

I don't know if anything like that will happen but still, it's a good idea

2 birds with 1 stone, Madrid were interested in him last season as well. But i would doubt it as it would leave us light still on players.

I'm sure we'll get someone, surely LFS will see that we are lacking a bit, if not Robinho then someone else.

Just 1 player will do i'm sure. Then depending on the circumstances backup in January. I still think we have more in our team than Manure pool and arse, it's just a case of getting the results which our team are more than capable of.

We definately only need 1 player. But we DO need that 1 player:

Cech, Cudicini, Hilario

Bosingwa, Belletti, Terry, Carvalho, Alex, Ivanovic, Cole, Bridge (Ferreira???)

Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Deco

Cole, Malouda, Kalou (Sinclair)

Drogba, Anelka, Di Santo

23 players not including Sinclair and including the keepers. We definately need another forward option.

To be honest with you, unless there is something we all don't know about and a quick deal is struck to sign a well known player, I don't expect anyone to come other than Robinho.

When we were linked with Daniel Alves last season, we ended up signing Belletti, and Alves was kicking himself that he didn't join us.

Like you say, we will see
