Grant Calls For Peace Talks!

Chelsea coach Avram Grant believes his side are being targeted by officials and he has demanded 'positive' talks with the Football Association. Grant has had an appeal against Michael Essien's red card rejected by the FA after the midfielder was sent off for swinging his arm at Derby's Kenny Miller in Chelsea's 2-0 Premier League victory on Saturday. Chelsea were also charged with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion following the dismissal. Grant insists that the FA were wrong to charge them with any offence, even though Chelsea's players surrounded referee Andre Marriner in the wake of Essien's red card. Positive"I think the hand is on whistle too easy against us. All the red cards are too easy, they are not red cards. I saw what happened with Michael Essien," said Grant. "There are no pockets, so what can he do with his hands? He didn't do anything wrong and it wasn't a red card. The same things happen with other players and there is no red card." "Something is too easy against Chelsea. We need to think about it together. "I want to do something in a positive way with the FA but we need to do something. There are good referees in England but not all the refs are the same. Unfair"My players were not happy with Essien's red card and I wasn't happy. It was an unfair decision. We are an easy target." Meanwhile, Grant has admitted he is desperate for success in the UEFA Champions League ahead of Chelsea's Wednesday meeting with Rosenborg where three points would secure the Blues a place in the knockout stages. "What we want is to qualify for the next round and what is important is a good result," Grant added. "I don't mean any disrespect to the other competitions, but the Champions League can make you a bigger club than what you are." div#betlinks_top a.top_betting_link_1 {background-image: url('http://images.skysports.com/images/fixturecal/icons/fix-bet.gif');background-repeat:no-repeat;background-position:0% 50%;padding-left:18px;} if (typeof getTopBettingLinks != 'undefined') getTopBettingLinks('15782002','4','skysports')

Essien's was a red.. like FB said above.. so wtf was the point in appealing?! or even complaining about itI seriously think the team as a whole needs to stop complaining so much.. the FA are constantly looking for more and more reasons to punish us.. some twits even calling for a warning for points deduction for us "harassing" the referees...... it is ridiculous to shout and whine at the ref when he ain't going to change his mind and is only going to end up trouble for us

I dunno about a red, there is a huge difference between swinging an elbow and a hand in the face. They are clamping down to heavily on the silly things and letting things like kung fu kicks go.
How do Kuyt and Hunt get away without a red ? Hunbeleivable *in Rafas voice*.Hand or arm contact to the face is a red, no two ways. Thats the rules..............unless its Derby arm to Pizzarros face.

Well if thats the rule then it should be enforced, but it is a bit silly, arms go all over the pace, but and elbow swing should be a straight red.I have lost count of the ammount of times now we have been done for something when the same or similar happens in other games without punishment.

lol ! only teams that play in red can win the league donchaknow -coincidentally decisions/refs turned against us at that Frisk time. Refs are like coppers, if you have a go at one, they see it as an attack on them all.

Unless we have some kind of death threat, suicide bomb campaign against the FA. I reckon Toby Brown could be up for it.
