Can only be good that we can hopefully see some of the youth players finally getting a break in the side.

Mancienne especially has been on loan quite a few seasons now, if he can establish himself within the squad we could well see the emergence of another John Terry.

Yes, Mancienne is a very bright prospect, done everything asked of him and is now a England Under 21's regular too. Clearly he is being given his chance to impress Scolari as is Di Santo...

Not sure what the deal is with Sinclair, there is talk of another loan spell for him but nothing confirmed yet. And from the looks of the pics from training available he isn't currently with the first team.

From what i could gather from CTV last night the players only had to take their passports in to training with them to get their Visa's sorted out, so they don't have to go anywhere..

To ssay he is better than Alex, is fine but to say that he is better than Carvalho who is according to many the BEST CB of CFC ( ie. better than terry), is utter foolishness.

I would go as far as saying Alex can be better than both Terry and Carvalho.

I think he was out of order (as well as wide of the mark) to say he's better than Carvalho but someone made a valid point on another forum - he was wanted by a lot of big clubs, we signed him, didnt play him and apparently didnt talk to him about it. He's supposed to be shit hot, so if we have have treated him badly we might live to regret it. On the other hand, a lot of what went on under Grant shouldnt be used against Scolari, the man hasnt even had time to assess the players yet, never mind decide who's staying or going.

Possibly My point is, is that Ivanovic was signed for a lot of money, indicating the club wanted him, but I don't think he can consider himself better than a defender who is established on the world stage with Portugal and the European stage with Chelsea in Carvalho, and a Brazil international who has the potential to be one of the best defenders in the Premier League.

Yep. The reason he hasn't played for us yet is because his season had been over for two months by the time we had signed him! He was lacking match fitness and we had Alex in the squad, anyway. Hope to see BI2 in action soon though.

He also picked up an injury! By the time he was fit it was never the right time for him to get involved with first team playing action. Lets see what he can do in pre season.
