So story goes I stumbled across him on ultimate team and he came up trumps for me every time, now ofcourse you can't judge a player on FIFA (although despite contary opinion you can get a bettet idea than people think) so I downloaded a couple of Villarreal games to get an idea on him and I was impressed.

But for anyone who watches Villarreal regularly (especially @DYC. as I recall you mentioned in the  Euro thread you are a fab of the yellow Submarine) what's he like on a weekly basis? And would he be a good fit to come in our defense?

He is not bad but i don't think we should go for him. I'd rather call Christensen back next year than signing Musacchio.

 

He had been injured for long this year. Also, he is pretty short - 181 cm. I believe there are better options.

The general consensus is that we need two new centre half's, one is widely agreed to be bringing back Christensen and the other being an experienced player.

Also lack of height can be worked around, look at Carvalho.

Fair point. 

 

Bring him back He is still active, he played 42 games for Monaco even though he is turning 38 next week.. What a legend.

if 6ft short these days?, maybe 1 or 2 inches shorter than the average for a cb, but it wouldn't stand out

Well, Zouma is 190 cm, Miazga 193, Hector is 193, Cahill is 193.. 10-12 cm is a big difference.

 

As Tomo said, it can be compensated with technique, but I prefer tall CB-s. Muchacho is a great player, it's just my opinion, my taste, i prefer huge fellas in the center of the defense.

Musacchio is quality but he's so fragile. It's hard to say how much his physical condition has suffered after all the injuries.
