Would rather have Blackman as 3rd choice. But I'm just stating the facts that we did do something very similar last season, so you can't really base any conclusions on this, imo. I presume he'll either join up with the squad later or stay at Cobham and train with the academy sides until the first team return. With Courtois and Cech, with all respect for him, I am still thinking we doesn't need Mark, he occupied one non HG quota, and better give the quota for Mikel. Prefer Blackman for the 3rd GK. Tomo 21,751 Posted August 22, 2014 Share Posted August 22, 2014 If Cech goes id like to see us spend on a HG number 2, Ruddy possibly.Teams are starting to spend on high quality back up, Tottenham got Vorm in, Arsenal signed Ospina and City have Caberello. Mark last season actually reminded me of Hilario (who was better than given credit for) come in for a one off game, no problem but I felt he really struggled at the back end of last season playing a run of games.
