He is similar to Markovic. Tons of potential, doing well in Liga Sagres, but too young and inexperienced for biggest clubs in the world. He still needs few more seasons under his belt.. not now.

Jose Mourinho during the summer detailed the problems with bringing 20 year old Brazilian Talisca to the Premier League. Those problems were stated as being related to getting the footballer a work permit. Talisca wasn't a full Brazil international and that created problems, but Mourinho rated the player so highly he said several English clubs had thought about buying him and loaning him elsewhere in Europe - where he'd get a work permit.

It didn't take long for Portuguese newspaper Record to claim that Mourinho had wanted Chelsea to buy Talisca in the summer and loan him out to Vitesse. Chelsea already have a relationship with the Dutch club and it wouldn't have taken a great leap of imagination for Record to come up with such a scenario.

Mourinho's comments to the Portuguese press about Talisca irked Benfica boss Jorge Jesus who suggested the Chelsea manager had been lying about knowing the player. He was quoted as saying (PA Portugal) "Talisca is a young star and that Benfica came first once again demonstrates the quality in what we do... they (Chelsea) knew Talisca how I knew D'Artagnan."

Mourinho snapped back "I think he's close to D'Artagnan, lives and reads Alexandre Dumas, and I admire him for that. I confine myself to my identity, I do not read Dumas. I have a different life."

The spat was relatively good natured and Talisca himself acknowledged the comments of Mourinho, telling Record "I am very happy for the praise of Mourinho, this means that my work is being done right."

Talisca has started life at Benfica so well that he's now been called up to the senior Brazil squad, work permit problems could be over soon. Many other clubs have been linked but Chelsea were there first and in terms of genuine interest they appear way ahead of anyone else. The young Brazilian has been dubbed the 'new Rivaldo' which will help the attention grow but the connections built up by Mourinho - even before Talisca went to Benfica - could prove extremely useful for Chelsea.

Portuguese newspaper O Jogo explain on Tuesday that the interest keeps growing and they cover reports that Chelsea would be looking to do a summer deal.

From Jose's Press Conference Today

"Jose, can Talisca arrive in January?"

"No."

Unfortunately the questioner was Portuguese and was therefore not speaking in his native tongue*. Perhaps because of this the question wasn't worded in a way that might elicit a complete answer but Jose was asked what he was asked, and he said what he said.

*CFC insist that all questions in the broadcast conference are asked, and answered, in English.

Chelsea sent scouts to watch transfer target Anderson Talisca in action for Benfica during their 3-0 win over Belenenses at the weekend.

The Blues have been monitoring the striker since he was at Brazilian side Bahia and reportedly wanted to sign him in the summer and loan the 20-year-old to Vitesse Arnhem.

Work permit issues prevented the move from coming to fruition and he joined Benfica instead for just £3.2m.

Talisca has starred for the Portuguese club so far this term, scoring 11 goals in all competitions and played a major role in their climb to the top of the table.

He was selected by Brazil for the first time last month for friendlies against Turkey and Austria, which should help ease problems over a work permit in the future.

Benfica have put a £35m release clause in his contract, but they have sold a number of their prize assets in recent seasons.

Chelsea have a close bond with the club having bought Ramires, Nemanja Matic and David Luiz from them for big sums so will not be put off by Talisca's price tag.

Manager Jose Mourinho is looking to sign another centre forward to add to the squad for next season.

While he doesn't want Didier Drogba to retire, the 36-year-old has hinted this will be his last campaign as a professional.

Chelsea will face competition for Talisca, whose contract doesn't expire until 2019, with Manchester United and Arsenal also linked with him.

But Chelsea are clearly keen to make sure he's worth the expense as they have now sent scouts to monitor his progress on several occasions.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has revealed he won't be looking to recall any of the 27 players Chelsea have out on loan in January.

in that case perhaps ,, but last year 3million now 32 mill .. think not

He has been nicknamed "Yaya Talisca" in reference to Ivorian midfielder Yaya Touré, but bases his game on that of his compatriot Neymar.[11] He is also compared to fellow Brazilian Rivaldo.[12]
