Shane 2,275
Good signing. One of the best left back in the world at the minute and with him and Azpi makes both our wing backs players who never give up and will always give everything for the team.Jose has played a blinder in the market so far, so this has allowed him to splash out more on a player who is 29. But the key fundamentals of this transfer are.1. Is he a top player in his position? Yes.2. Is this where we are lacking quality? Yes.We're shaping up nicely for next season. Dion 2,476
Luis is a really good fullback. It was really stupid of Felipão not calling him, but that's understandable since brazilian football has always preferred overly offensive fullbacks (or as some like to call, wing backs - even if they're a moderate/big defensive liability) over solid fullbacks with just good offensive capabilities, the better compromise we can find is when Brazil chooses a full back who is equally good attacking and defending. Also, Felipão likes to stick with the players that got him to where he is, with few or no exceptions. In Luis we get an experienced player who is probably going to improve our defense even further and also add a bit of quality going forward over the aged Ashley Cole. I just hope people don't expect him to be better than prime Cole, because that he's never going to be. But I expect him to be a solid brick in our defense and I would not expect any different from Mourinho, great signing if true.

Daniel1980 1,425
While I would have liked a bit younger player, this is a very good signing nonetheless. We can't have a squad full only of promising, talented youngsters with no experience at winning, and Jose knows this.

MrExcalibur100 7,124
Courtois, Filipe Luis, Cesc and Diego Costa! Nothing but world class signings so far. Hopefully Pogba can join as well. Pretty amazing when you add that to what we already have.Filipe Luis Kasmirski. What a cool last name. The guy is also very tall for a full-back, like 6 feet. I'm sure that's something we considered. A back four of Luis, Terry, Cahill and Azpilicueta is an incredibly solid one. It also means we are going to see less of Brana playing right back. He's been a liability trying to attack in that position. Now teams will think twice about isolating our right back.
Special Juan 28,141
Rojo the alternative for us apparently if we cannot agree on the transfer of Luis. Also, Twitter shit says we are looking at Griezmann also.

Madmax 9,219
Costa, Fabregas, Luis, and Courtois being installed as the #1 keeper would be one hell of a summer. Adding one more CM and moving Mikel or Ramires on would be the best in our history.I think with Tiago, we're okay in midfield. Of course, if a top player becomes available (Vidal/Pogba), an interest may accrue. Ramires and Mikel both have their uses. What I'm hoping we do is get a #2 striker. I'm not sure Lukaku's going to be around.

I also feel Lukaku is gone, and if that is the case we cannot allow Ba and Torres to become second and third choice behind Costa, we must get rid of (No doubt be Demba) and replace with a decent back up option who ever that maybe. Torres third choice is fine by me, there is also small links to Griezmann this morning but we need someone else after Costa IMO.

It's not like he doesn't have the experience.
