No. Itzhak Rabin was the only leader who agreed to lose a lot in order to achieve peace.

So he got assassinated! Well if you legitimize his assassination then you can't blame the Palestinians for fighting for their land and refusing your settlements. Also you wouldn't let them give their LAND to Egypt

As I said before - cringeworthy thread, serving only ingroup outgroup points of views to be displayed with absolutely no intention of hearing each other out.

A politics thread/arena should only be entered when there is at least the will to listen and the option your own position could be false.

Before anyone shoutes: 'what do you know!', mediators and negotiators are picked for exactly that - being a third neutral party. Some things soldiers (or terrorists) do for 'the cause' can never be made ethical. Period. It takes guts to get away from the tit for tat. Ask all the dove Rabin that is killed for it, hell: ask Gandhi.

LOL, there goes your talk about PEACE.

if Palestinians were rational and not motivated by radical islam among other things than two states and returns are possible. But not until an intellectual revolution of accepting diversity and tolarence on a politcal level will that ever happen. However I am optimistic. Bunch of Palestinians in west bank now come to Israeli schools and build start ups together. This is what build peace.

.......................... I was replaying about the way you put it like the only leader who wanted peace was Rabin. We had a lot of leaders who wanted peace but didn't agree to lose so much. NOBODY LEGTIMIZE HIS ASSASSINATION HERE IN ISRAEL 99 PRECENT.

assassination is wrong and condemnable, but his approach was suicide. His ratings in polls at the time suggest vast majority were against him.

PEACE won't be achieved. There is too much hatred between the sides. This is my conclusion.

I am sorry mate, Peace can be achieved. It is the WILL that is lacking here. Egypt went to war with Isreal in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 and we achieved peace and took our land that was invaded in 1967. We have trade between and agreements. You come to my country and we go to yours. If people don't like each other then we still have peace. Like you said before in a forum you have Muslim friends and like I said I have Jewish friends. So it can be achieved

What makes you think that you are in any position to define rationality. It is all relevant as you probably should know being from a multicultural country. It is about compromises and negotiations and benefits. It should be about mutual benefit too. Radical Islam is a problem and found in Hamas. But what about before the existence of Hamas, Palestinians didn't have the radical Muslims incharge? :) very week argument. No offense

Don't know why it offended you, but I made it clear that I mean nothing personally. No leader in Israel has attempted any REAL peace. How can they if they are just progressing with the settlements?! Very contradicting in my opinion. They are expanding and expecting the Palestinians to be happy??!!!!!!! Well you. yourself said you are against it. Peace doesn't come with it.

Peace can be achieved if the had a real leader they would follow but they never had and probably never will.

this story ended up being a complete lie. see here http://elderofziyon.blogspot.co.il/2014/03/the-lies-about-palestinian-footballers.html other news sources have confirmed as well. Is there anything the anti jew crowd here on tc won't make up to try and delegitmize the only moral state in the middle east? asking for a friend..

Thank you.

I said it from the beginning, the truth is what matters the most.

And now seeing a media that would create a false story like that, then it shows there is an agenda against Israel.

People who brings news about Israel and Palestinian have to be very careful with what they bring.

There's a lot of sensationalism going on with such topic.
