You assumed I disagree with rating Messi higher than Zidane because I don't rate Matic higher, somehow making Matic equal to comparing with Messi, otherwise you wouldn't have automatically thought I would disagree with it. Le Tissier was a talented player no doubt but to compare him to Zidane is like comparing Banksy to Rembrandt. Le Tissier was happy to be a big fish in a little pond none of the big teams put in any serious bids for him because he'd would never shown the consistency needed at the very top. Chelsea were interested in him but it would have been a sideways move for him as we were mid table fodder at the time.
