Looking at Marco Van Ginkel

Hes not turning him into a defensive midfielder. Hes playing him as the deepest midfielder, the one who controls the tempo, he is effectively sitting in as a third center back at times to receive the ball and start attacks when we line up 4-2-3-1, with Ramires playing the box to box role.

Not exactly a deep lying playmaker either

I like to wait at least 5-10 Premier League games before I can begin talk about a player's quality/ability. Some player take a while to adjust to a new league and others can succeed before teams realize how to deal with them. For me. it's simply not possible to say anything constructive about Van Ginkel at this point other than he is a promising player.
