One is slightly better and one is slightly worse. As I said, they're about as likely to drop points as we are. And Arsenal is in UCL still, they're surely not dropping it, so their players will be wasted even more than ours if we go mixed teams. Tottenham has UEL games too, as far as we know, they might go for it, so things may or may not balance out, we'll have to see. I wouldn't dismiss EL for now.

That's a fair point. I'm hoping Arsenal will feel the effects of their games, whilst Spurs really need to take this competition seriously.

If you look at the Europa League it's generally won by teams on the way up as a stepping stone, e.g. Atletico, Porto, Shaktar, Zenit etc.

For us it's not something we need in all honesty. The benefits of winning it are outweighed by the short-term cost to the players in terms of fitness and (the much overlooked) preparation time.

As for rmpr, I'll let bygones be bygones. I think he's probably just had a bit too much fizzy pop this morning.

Unfortunately I don't think Arsenal will last much longer there. But even if they get kicked out now againt Bayern, it may have an effect on their players and they start playing poorly. That's why I say we should wait for now, things might work out for us :halo:
