Fulham Broadway 17,313
Well the Chelsea players are definitely the stars of this tournie, and what a game the Ivory Coast one was . Another couple of good Qtr Finals today Egypt v the unfancied Angola, and Tunisia v Cameroon.
Fulham Broadway 17,313
Defending champions Egypt are through to the semi-finals after beating a spirited Angola 2-1. They are joined in the last four by Cameroon, for whom Stephane Mbia swooped for a winner in extra time to give them a 3-2 victory over Tunisia having already held the lead twice during the game. Think Ivory Coast will do it though
BlueLion. 21,491
Essien, Kalou and Drogba have proved what big players for us they actually are. Mikel hasn't been too bad, either.

MikeCFC 45
Good stuff. We could have Essien back for the scousers, even if on the bench.

We Hate Scouse 10,326
Agogo just headered over he is wank!!!!!!! Cant see Ghana snatching this back now, which is good cos we get Essien back. Which means he has more time to recover for the Carling Cup final.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Full time cameroon 1-0 Ghana Essiens coming back, couldn't see him coming on against Liverpool but I think he will be on the bench against Huddersfield.
Blue_Swede 4
Full time cameroon 1-0 Ghana Essiens coming back, couldn't see him coming on against Liverpool but I think he will be on the bench against Huddersfield. Why not? He'll fly back tomorrow, without jet lag since Ghana is roughly the same time zone as England, do some light training on Saturday and then play on Sunday. I think it's possible. We Hate Scouse 10,326
Do you no how hot it is out there?? He will be exhausted. He wont feature against Liverpool, I can ensure you!

A brilliant semi at 8:00 with Ivory Coast v Egypt. An Egyptian win could see Kalou and Drogs back for Sunday as well.
Blue_Swede 4
Do you no how hot it is out there?? He will be exhausted. He wont feature against Liverpool, I can ensure you! You might be right, it's just that I really want to see him playing on Sunday. Good news. A brilliant semi at 8:00 with Ivory Coast v Egypt. An Egyptian win could see Kalou and Drogs back for Sunday as well. It's no real news, just an assumption by me. Hopefully close to reality Edited February 7, 2008 by Blue_Swede
Blue_Swede 4
Just realised that there will be a 3rd/4th place match on Saturday. It's settled then, he definitely won't make the Liverpool match. Edited February 7, 2008 by Blue_Swede
