I think I noticed some mistakes in FB's post so I'll do the first ten too. Maybe mine's not 100% correct either, but I think this is how it should be.

1- The kids are very good today. They've been playing quietly for two hours.

2- Yesterday I had to buy a new pair of gloves, as I'd lost the old ones.
3- He's coughing a lot. I'm afraid he's smoking again.
4- Where's your luggage? - I left it at the station.
5- I met him when he was walking across the park.

6- Don't enter the bedroom! The child is sleeping there, and he always wakes up when somebody opens the door.
7- What were you doing when I came in?
8- When I came to his house, they were telling me that he had to leave an hour before.

9- What are the children doing now? - Oh, they are playing the new table game which I bought for them the day before yesterday.
10- When I came to Peter's house last Sunday, he was reading a new book.

1. When you have a specific time (two hours), you must use simple past. - Played.

Not necessarily, both are grammatically correct (although you must say "They have been playing" because there is no such thing as "they've") but since the previous sentence is "The kids are" and not "were" it would suggest that "have been playing" is more fitting.

True, my bad!

However, I think they`ve does exist...

Wrong. Present Perfect Progressive is used to indicate the duration of an activity that began in the past and continues to the present. The action in the first sentence began in the past and it still continues.

Simple Past has no connection with the present.

I know, it was a bad mistake (I saw were).

Both aren't correct actually, and of course you can say they've. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/they've
Wtf?! You wanna tell me my teacher has been trolling me for some years now?

Well my English teacher always said that "they've" is slang and does not exist in proper English. Take it out with her! :P

It's a contraction and it's grammatically correct. I've edited my post now and posted a screenshot of that page, as the apostrophe was causing problems.

I know it's commonly used but I'm also pretty sure that it is relatively new in the English language which would probably explain why my teacher had problems accepting it. I have no personal issues with it; I'm not a grammar Nazi unless you say "their" instea of "they're" :D
