No ban for Bran

Unless Iva is injured, he will be the main choice for RB this season. Its that simple. Azpi will have to prove himself and that wont happen overnight. Perhaps in 2-3 seasons he will be our main RB, but certainly not for this season.

And btw, people need to stop hyping up this Azpi guy. He aint THAT good..

I probably should have been a little more clear. The point I was trying to make was you were being overly dismissive and aggressive. It's not an entirely preposterous thing to imagine that Azpilicueta will soon become our main right back given that Ivanovic doesn't pick up his form. Of course, chances are Azpilicueta will need some time to adjust, and Ivanovic will probably find his form in a couple weeks time because he's been a very consistent player for us since he joined us. Nevertheless, like I said, it's not ridiculous to suspect that it could happen, and there certainly isn't any harm in discussing it, and I think you went out of your way to call strike a nut for that. That's all.

I agree. He's good, not great. Ivanovic (on form) is much better.

I'm getting a little tied that some people think that Bran is 1st choice right back and no one has the authority to take it themselves. As if he is untouchable. Despite the fact that in the last few months he has become very reckless and thuggis and is getting beaten way too easily by anyone with a deecent amount ofpace.

If we do sign Azpi, then I will happily want him t be straight into the starting 11 at RB.

We can say Azpi doesn't have a right to walk into the first team & that's true to an extent. However, how can we truly know how good he is if we don't try him in the first team? The reason Bosingwa was chosen over Ivanovic was because of his attacking threat, made life a night mare for the CB's & even Mikel. But modern football requires the emphasis of attacking full-backs to provide natural width.. Something Azpi will do. Granted we don't know much about him, so we shouldn't act as if he's the solution to that problem, but he is worth the gamble at 22.

why would we? we got enough offensive force. clearly our issues atm are in the defense. id rather have a rb who defends well than have decent crossings.

Ye because we have been amazing in attack so far havent we....
