Players that wasted their talents

Not all players lived up to their hype. Who do you think wasted their potential and talent?

For me the biggest offender is Antonio Cassano. The man is a magician on the ball, one of the best dribblers I have ever seen and possibly one of the best of all time. Poor temperment and a childish attitude ruined a fantastic career.

His first Serie A goal.

Crazy tricks.

Robinho hasn't lived up to his hype, but he's still good. Adriano, Bogarde come to mind. Giovani dos Santos and Royston Drenthe, once biggest prospects around, have fallen into abyss.

Real stereotypical :wank2:

Franco Di Santo had amazing potential when he was playing in Argentina and for our reserves when he first came.

He didn't really waste his talents, he just turned out rubbish. I'm more trying to discuss players that had it all but pissed it away or burnt out really quick.

Oh ok, sorry my bad, forgot that when I misread a threat title you get a valid excuse to insult my nationality.

It was a joke, friend. Don't take offence.

But somehow if I called a person from the middle east a sucide bomber, or someone from Africa hungry, that wouldn't be a joke would it?

You have no idea on what drink abuse can do to people's lives so don't make jokes about it.

I do actually, I know very well what alcoholism can do to someone and the people they love. You do realise that Ireland isn't the only country that is sterotyped as being alcoholics, don't you? Why, my nationalilty is usually classed are dumb, drunk and racist, or to role into a nice bundle, I've been called a British Redneck.

I'm sorry I offended you, but don't take any assumptions about my life, okay?

Well if you do, then you shouldn't go around making jokes about something that can cause serious devastastion.

Making jokes is what I do, I'm a wiseguy and smartass. Without that I'm nothing. Without humour, I have no defence.

More on Cherno Samba:

http://www.guardian....ewsstory.sport5

He was supposed to be the spearhead of England's assault on the 2006 World Cup. Such was the hyperbole surrounding 14-year-old Cherno Samba that during one weekend four years ago he knocked all the established Premiership stars off the back pages. The tabloid frenzy around the wunderkind from Peckham was matched only by that of agents looking to get a slice of the most sought-after English talent of his generation.

Well then stick to jokes that are actually funny in future, and don't bring up something you know nothing about, i.e The Drinking culture in Ireland.
