I have both and gmail always sends me emails about google+ which I ignore because I once read that it has something to do with sharing pics..

Yeah, you can turn it off in the private settings though. However, you cant delete it as it is linked with your Gmail and Youtube account!

It is a way of Google saying it has X many users...

Talk Chelsea relies on revenue to pay for hosting and upgrades. While we try to keep adverts as unobtrusive as possible, we need to run ad's to make sure we can stay online because over the years costs have become very high.
