4-2-3-1 is fine... 1 defensive anchor man, 1 deep lying midfielder, 1 advanced playmaker , 2 winger , 1 explosive striker .. looks we've got all that is needed , if mata fits AMC

Now that we have a descent winger for the first time for over six years, I wonder if it would be worth it trying to go back to Mourinho's 4-5-1 and see if Sturridge works on the right wing and a lone striker. It would create a defensively strong side and wouldn't need the CMs to go forward too much, (some thing they-meaning Ramires and Lamps-don't seem to do well this season)

After all , formation is just a method to tell line-up , what's more important is what should every player on position do..

4-2-3-1 could be 2 DM + 3 AMs + 1 Striker.

And could be 1 DM + 1 Supportive midfielder who provide connections out side the 2/3 end + 2 Cut-inside winger + 1 Deep-lyling striker + 1 Fast striker, or you can also call it a 4-4-2 , but it may seems like 4-2-3-1 some way.XDDD

I don't know if that would work because both of them rely on movement and attacking the space in behind i think they would piss each other off.

Different variations of 4-3-3 and 4-5-1, can't see us playing anything else... perhaps only 4-4-2 diamond, as we've seen in the first couple of games, but I don't think we'll play it that often. I would no doubt play 4-3-3 with proper wingers.

I have the feeling the pre season didn't really show the best way forward for us . Our signings arriving late didn't help ,

Torres and Lampard still major worries .. I keep swinging between optimism and pessimism. Just wish we could get the season going properly

and see our attacking players scoring some fucking goals ...LOADS OF THEM ...
