Chelsea boss Avram Grant won't rule out making a new signing before the winter market deadline falls this week. He said: "We only have 13 or 14 players available. We want to rotate, we want to give players a rest but we have a very small squad now.

"At the moment, I am not hoping to do any more business this January, but who knows?"

Yeah maybe - I think it would be a shame if Sidwell did go. and also Mikel will be unavailable for an extra week as a result of Nigeria qualifying. What about some of the youngsters going out on loan? Maybe Sahar will? Possibly Sinclair but I'd be inclined to keep him just incase.

I think this has to be a good thing to be honest as it doesn't look as if we are going to get another chance to use fringe players (except Huddersfield maybe)
