  1. So happy for the guy. I haven't watch watched Atleti this season but from what little I've seen, they really play to his strengths. When they get the ball, there's no messing around. They play very direct and try to get the bal to him when he's on the run. At the least, he seems happy.
  2. De Gea's Madrid audition going great so far!
  3. I can't remember seeing a forward having as bad a match as drogba had today.Lord Jesus! Willian is really stepping it up these past couple of games, eh? Wonder why?
  4. Our main problem wasn't the lack of Cesc, it was Oscar not having a creative bone in his body. He wouldn't start for any top team in Europe but for some reason he does for us.
  5. If City had scored first we would have been in trouble. I'll take a point.
  6. Silva was the PL's best and most consistent player for a while now but since football is so stat oriented that he's been overlooked. I can't believe Suarez and Bale won Player of the Year before him. I think Eden is a notch below Silva, but he'll reach that level in no time!
  7. Dude, just admit Mourinho made a mistake.
  8. Mou always shackles his players. KDB would not have been the player he is today if he had stayed.
  9. How well at team presses is mostly down to how the manager sets them up and less about the personnel. We should be able to press without them.
  10. To Jose's credit, I'm will to say that this team is still a work in progress. But how Liverpool's flair players danced around our midfield was a scary sight. 'Our pressing might be better than 98% of PL sides, but that isn't really saying much. You just have watch how well La Liga sides close down teams to see how much more we have to improve.
  11. That shouldn't be though. You have to wonder why Mou's teams can't defend without going ulra-defensive.
  12. His pragmatism will always be his biggest flaw as a manager . You can't always depend on mistakes and turnovers to win a match. He has a bunch of talented kids at his disposal, so why doesn't he play to their strengths? From top to bottom Chelsea is a better team than Liverpool, so why are we allowing them to dictate the play like we're some mid table side? It's one of the main problems he had during his time at Madrid. During the CL semis against Bayern, a Madrid team that consisted of the Likes of Ozil, Ronaldo Di-Maria etc....sat back and let Bayern do whatever the hell they wanted. Sure they scored 2 goals on the break but they rode their luck for the majority of the game. Nothing wrong with being reactive but when you've got such a talented squad, you're expected to bring the game to inferior opposition. Just look at how Ancelotti has that same Madrid side is playing decent attractive football. They managed to keep liverpool to few shots without going ultra-defense.
  13. This team seems incapable of imposing its will against decent teams. So reactive.
